The best cooked breakfast I've ever had! I had the full English, which I upgraded to large and it was amazing. Highly recommend

Fantastic breakfast and great service. Really friendly and welcoming. Generous portions and local produce, which is always nice to see! We’ll definitely be back!

Unfortunately we had a really bad experience, appears to have gone down hill over the years. Firstly the place was dirty and the service was abysmal. They got the order wrong three times as they hadn't written it down properly. Ice latte instead of normal latte, missing food items. No apology. Very unprofessional attitudes. In addition, when the food did arrive after a long wait, the pancakes were so stale you could knock them against the table. Inedible. Clearly hadn't been made on the property but bought in a packet and just dumped on the plate. Bacon and sausages had clearly been cooked much earlier in the day and left on a hot plate. Overall I would not recommend to anyone. The place needs a visit from a health inspector. You would have a much better time at connuaghts kitchen, just down the road.

We’ve been here many times over the years, however this is the first time we were disappointed. The food is delicious, we ordered the vegan breakfasts - asides from a heavy portion of plum tomatoes. We sat near the kitchen and it would seem that everything is cooked on the same grill so is not truly vegan (the hash browns next to the eggs), something we’d only noticed after eating. Furthermore a staff member was rather rude and brash. A cook we’d never encountered before made several rude remarks and interacted awfully with the younger team members. A shame to see as usually the other cook is very friendly, unsure if there are new owners?

Lovely walk through the old hospital and found the Unthank Kitchen, " wow" the full english was fantastic , local sausages and free range eggs, hubby loved the bubble & sqeak. Will definitely go again when next in Norwich.

Absolutely amazing. I had the large Gluten Free breakfast and the sausages and bacon were really nice, locally sourced too. Highly recommend this place. They serve strangers coffee too. The owner is hilarious, very honest but a real nice chap and the kitchen been in his family since 2015. He has a lot of passion for the place since taking over from his mum 4 years ago and whilst it looks a bit like a greasy spoon (it serves breakfasts, not sure how else it should look!) you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how good the food is

My favourite brunch place in Norwich. Dog friendly, even inside, and a variety of gluten free and vegetarian options available. Very impressed by the range, from full english to pancakes to the specials menu. Portions are delicious and generous, and food is locally sourced with produce origins on display inside. The owner is an absolute hoot too, a real character. On my last visit, I enjoyed something new to the specials board - potato wedges with veggie chilli and cheese. Something a bit different from the usual breakfast selection and it didn’t disappoint! It was the perfect amount of heat. The coffee is from Strangers, and it’s also very good. Tea and amazingly decaf tea also available. There’s a small courtyard at the back which is wonderful in summer. Overall, a cosy brunch spot offering incredibly great value and excellent food.
