“First time we had been and definitely going back. The staff so friendly and the owner so helpful and let us pick from the menu for vegan option. Nothing was too much trouble , anything you wanted or adjusted from the menu they did for us. Everything cooked fresh, and local produce. Little little cafe that is tucked away but very popular so need to book in advance really. A little gem and loveky experience. Keep up the good work.”

“I only recently discovered Ryan’s cafe and have loved it since. The staff are all so friendly ! The food is wonderful. I’ve only been for breakfasts so far, and they’re always ready quickly, great price, hot and delicious !! In the summer it’s lovely that you have the option to sit outside too! 10/10”

“This was a random visit on a Saturday morning. I'd seen the signs on the road indicating a cafe so thought I'd drop in to see what the cafe had to offer. Initially we sat in the cafe but there was a faint smell of fat in the air so relocated outside onto the patio area. The sun was out on a warm March morning, stunning views over the fields watching the horses it was very peaceful and relaxing. The coffee came quickly (a good and hot coffee) but there was a bit of a wait for the bacon and sausage baguettes but when they arrived they were really nice. The staff were friendly and were attentive, definitely visit again.”

“What a great full English breakfast with tea and toast. My Partners bacon and egg roll was also very tasty with a nice cup of coffee. We will be back for more breakfasts and to try the extensive range of pastas.”

“I had such a fantastic experience at Nour Maison From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. The food was outstanding – every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. you can really tell a lot of care goes into the cooking and ingredients. The atmosphere is lovely: relaxed, cosy and perfect for a family meal / catching up with friends. The restaurant is clean, well-decorated and has a really nice buzz without being too noisy. Service was prompt, friendly and professional throughout, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. We will definitely be coming back and I’d highly recommend Nour Maison to anyone looking for great food, great service and a genuinely enjoyable dining experience.”

“Don't know the area at all, walked round looked at a few coffee shops seemed pricey for a brew, and was all prepacked heat up behind the counter jobs. Saw a road worker by his van, asked him if he new any decent places for a fry up, he suggested hitchin lol. As I was walking away he said hang on there a place down there called star.. So ended up in here, very clean, nice and pleasant staff at counter waiting. Food prices on par with similar styled cafes. Good selection, food and tea came out piping hot and fresh. Can't fault anything. Will use again if in the area. Was eating on my own as only in area as motorbike having work done in the area. Felt welcome and didn't feel uncomfortable at all like you can eating in some places when on your tod. Thanks guys”

“Me and my partner have been multiple times, and have always had good food and great service. We travelled around Vietnam in 2024 and Cafe Sen takes us back every time we go. We love the banh mi and spring rolls which we get a lot, or on a Thursday we’ll have Vietnamese pancakes on a special. Occasionally we’ll go for dinner and try noodle or soup dishes which are all lovely as well. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and the staff are all lovely.”

“An afternoon where I am left feeling very proud of my ex colleagues. I visited Rich Beeby and Roxanne James to explore their new venture on Barrack Road. Cafe 1850 unsurprisingly oozes energy, ambition and wonderful customer service as this was at the core of their approach in our days working alongside each other at Royal and Derngate and Northampton Filmhouse. This lovely cafe was created virtually from scratch. Spotless and modern with a lovely vibe. It is a lovely little setting next to the Cathedral and is only 15 minutes walk from the town centre with good parking. I love a good homemade soup and the tomato soup with cheese toasties worked a treat. Still had room for a Lemon drizzle cake that was moist in texture and saturated with flavour. There are some great ideas being floated for special evening promotions. Well done Rich & Roxanne. I am proud of you. *****Update****** Visit 31/5/25 Afternoon Tea for my partner and I. “Food was lovely, and lots of it - really, really good value for money. Staff were really nice and took time to make you feel welcome. Customer area was SPOTLESS. The only thing I will say is, as an autistic adult I found the acoustics difficult, I had to use ear buds, however the food, cleanliness and genuine welcome means I will go again, even just for take away.”

“Last year, we were let down by a coffee van at our school. We went to Bewitched to see if they could help us out with a large order … over 30 drinks. They could not have been more accommodating!! The drinks were ready at the correct time, and all drinks were amazing quality as usual! This year, we didn’t even book the van we went straight to bewitched! Amazing, friendly service and such professionalism when dealing with such a large order. Order was checked, questions asked and such amazing, friendly staff! If you need drinks for a large work place (we ordered over 30 drinks - mixture of hot and cold) this is the place to go!”
