“We use this exclusively for takeaways, servcie is great, food is stunning. Restaurant is lacking in atmosphere.”

“This cafe is a good place to stop whilst on a walk, a bike ride or even if you are going to the park. With a wide selection of cakes and drinks then cafe has a favourite choice of everyone's. Prices are quite reasonable and staff are really friendly and well mannered.”

“It is a basic cafe with a good selection of options using what appeared to be fresh ingredients where possible. It was clean Toilets were clean Food was what I expected at the price advertised. Staff were friendly without being fake about it. We cleared our plates and didn't leave hungry. Perhaps a radio on or a bit of music might help the atmosphere but not a big deal. I'm not saying this is the type of place you would arrange your day around but as I was passing and fancied a quick bite to eat we gave it a go. Pic is of a Jacket spud with butter, cheese & beans. (Likely some marg type spread instead of butter but it tasted fine) Salad was lovely and fresh.”

“We usually favour the delicious tuna jacket potatoes from Ora but decided today to have the lamb biryani. It was delicious, full of beautiful spices with depth of flavour. It was a great portion size too. Please add more dishes like this to your menu. :)”

“A lovely, well-sized store with a welcoming atmosphere. There’s a fantastic selection of Hotel Chocolat’s finest products, and the prices are genuinely very reasonable, especially for gifts or a treat for yourself. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help with recommendations, which really adds to the experience. The café area is relaxed and cosy, with delicious drinks and sweet treats. Overall, a great place to visit and definitely worth stopping by!”

“I walked here from the town centre, it was approximately 1.5 mile along the Nene Valley, which is a river and it's surrounding wetlands. The cafe is very nice, it's in the same building as Northampton Active, which hire kayaks and rafts, the toilets are also shared (Waterside Cafe & Northampton Active).”

“Fresh, delicious and served up faster than the neighbouring fast food outlets. We had Satay curry (pictured) and a halloumi wrap, which were both very tasty and satisfying. The staff were courteous and checked for allergies as a matter of course, which is much appreciated when one of you is gluten free. Highly recommended.”

“Love this little cafe...quirky and oldschool at the same time! Can get very busy in the summer as there's often a big motorcycle meet up on the town square but always worth the wait!”

“We had the wonderful Lily as our server who was so inviting, friendly and caring while taking our order and made sure we had enough time when choosing. We had a lovely meal for dinner that was tasty and affordable with a lovely atmosphere around us that felt comfortable and clean. We would be more than happy to come again soon and try some other things on the menu but we had a perfect evening with lovely service ☺️”

“I frequently have used this cafe and have always found the food excellent. Since lockdown I have had various takeaways. Can highly recommend the Sunday roast. Also the toasties are to die for. The food is always cooked very well and always hot. Can't wait for reopening.”

“The food I've always brought from here has been fantastic. The chips are great, cooked just right and are not greasy and they are so tasty. Sausages, battered or normal are great. Onion rings delicious with crispy batter and not greasy. Mushy peas stay hot for ages, and the cod is fantastic. Best thing is, it's only three minutes from door to door. Oh, and the service is good too.”
