   Sunday roast was ok but wow….did we wait for some time! Over an hour with a little toddler and it wasn’t exactly flat out busy If you’re going to offer Sunday roast service and you take bookings surely the food should be served faster…waited quite some time for even the water to come out for drinks Not one to usually complain but everything seems a bit to much of an ask in there also A couple of the staff were great but one or two of them just seemed like everything was so much effort and not exactly giving service with a smile Not a bad place to pop into for a coffee whilst at the park but won’t be returning for a full sit down meal I would recommend Customer service skills the be worked on

   I visit Archers Rest regularly on the weekend when walking my dogs, and I've always enjoyed the food and drinks here. The chef is incredibly talented and the staff are lovely. I recently attended their tapas night with my sister and loved it!! The cocktails were devine and the food was 5 star!! It tasted and felt authentic, quick service and high quality. Very excited to visit for tapas and cocktails again soon! (Before it disappears for the summer) Also, indoor and outdoor dog friendly! Be warned, your pups will be smothered with kisses and love from all of the staff.

   We had a very tasty brunch today at Archers Rest for Father’s Day. Polly enjoyed her dog ice cream as well. I would highly recommend trying the brunch on offer if you haven’t done so already.

   Still no free customers WiFi, after all these years opening! Management needs to correct this ASAP! Most, if not all cafes now have Free Public WiFi…..! Just a thought! However …. I have called in at The Archers several times - excellent coffee, good selection of fresh cakes. For lunch, their ‘Stone-baked’ Pizza (toppings of your choice) with Salad is one of the best I’ve tasted in Bedford. Good value for money! Although, no WiFi … this place is worthy of a visit! Cafe is Dog Friendly! Good walking at Denham Park and River Ouse.

   Booked for a large family table for a Sunday roast! Was absolutely delicious, so kind to the children! The cauliflower cheese was to die for, everything was just so yummy. Staff so friendly and helpful and made you feel very at home. Will deffo be back!

   We visited today for a hot chocolate and a cake on the way through to visit family. My hot chocolate even had a pretty pattern on it. I was so impressed I took a photo! Found the cafe completely by chance and had a well needed recharge. Good facilities and lovely clean cafe. The cafe is dog friendly and there were a few tables with dogs. Staff were lovely and very busy.

   Spent mothering sunday here with family, food was excellent. Had a full English breakfast and it was spot on and was reasonably priced. Staff made us feel welcome. We keep coming back here for the 'real' coffee!

   Went into the cafe this afternoon. Appalled at the way me and my family were made to feel. We came in with our two dogs for a coffee and a bite to eat meanwhile there were other dogs in the cafe. One of our dogs barked once and the owner came over and was very abrupt and rude about our dog. Felt very singled out as there were other dogs there that barked and nothing was mentioned to their owners. Even though they say this is a dog friendly cafe I wouldn’t say they are at all! Staff also weren’t very welcoming or friendly even when bringing coffee’s over. As a result of the way that we were spoke to we left the cafe and won’t be returning again. We have a lot of dog walking friends and we shall let them know not to go in either!

   Excellent Food!! Beautiful Coffee clean and Tidy and welcoming Bistro with a nice view from the window. Staff are really welcoming and friendly and lots of Options including Coconut Milk for coffees and lattes which I love. Treated my mum for Lunch we will definitely be returning the food is also very well Presented.

   I really want this place to do well but every time I've been here (when it's been open) it's been lacklustre at best. On numerous occasions they've run out of basics (milk, ice) both of which are readily available at the Sainsbury's a few minutes walk away. Staff aren't rude but aren't exactly welcoming either and on this last visit it took a few minutes for one of the three staff behind the counter to even acknowledge the customers waiting to order. A simple "I'll be with you in a minute" would go a long way. This could and should be my go-to café or lunch spot but sadly to date it's uninspired. Happy to change ratings if future visits improve.
