   Been several times over the last 12 months. Probably one breakfast was a bit lacking otherwise really good and great value. Atmosphere is 3 stars. Sometime it’s full of great people, but sometimes you get a number of pretentious people who feel they need the room to hear their opinions.

   My friend and I happened upon this restaurant by accident and were very pleased with the service and the food; polite and helpful staff and generous portions of food! Polly came over once we started eating and offered to hold the baby whilst we ate as he became a little restless and she kept him until my friend had finished her meal, which is very rare but wonderfully welcomed. As i have a sensitivity to sound and usually wear my Cans it wasnt too loud and i managed to not wear them much. Needless to say we will be returning again on our next monthly meet up. Thank you to Polly and the rest of the staff at The Buttery.

   I took my wife for a bite to eat after her operation. We were very impressed at how clean the place was and how efficient the front of house girls operated in cleaning the tables and serving every one. The food was good quality and we found our high tea for two very good value for money. This was run by a team that take pride in their work. We will be back....

   Just had lunch at The Buttery. The service and staff were very good, but the food was not up to standard. The Potato and Leek soup tasted funny and it was served with margarine for the bread. My companions had a sandwich and a toasting which was nice as was the salad but the coleslaw was tasteless and watery. We will nt be returning.

   Love this place! Great service - very friendly and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere. On this visit, tried out the festive Mulled Wine (it is Christmas afterall)!! Perfect temperature, not too sweet and a great taste of oranges. Highly recommended.

   Lovely mid ride cafe stop for our cycling club today. Plenty of room outside for fine dining. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food, including sausage sandwiches and my beans on toast were served in quick time and tasted wonderful. It's a favourite stop for cyclists and for good reason. Recommended

   A lovely place tucked away on the Castle Ashby Estate, set in a cobbled courtyard next to a craft shop and a deli, we were well looked after by the staff and enjoyed a very bountiful lunch!
