“What a great full English breakfast with tea and toast. My Partners bacon and egg roll was also very tasty with a nice cup of coffee. We will be back for more breakfasts and to try the extensive range of pastas.”

“The food was really good - I had the light meal chicken burger and chips, which were crispy and tasty. The deep fried comets for dessert were amazing, highly recommend these!! What we didn't expect was some fossils to be brought out and for them to be explained to us - amazing interactivity with customers even though we are adults with no children, it was brilliant! Very fun and friendly atmosphere, thank you to Nicki and Tom (? Can't remember if that was your name haha) for the experience :))”

“This is my husbands absolute favourite place to come for coffee He chooses between praline cappuccino and blended honeycomb coffee and the drinks are always the same - blooming amazing. Jai you make an amazing honeycomb coffee. Add a sausage bap and he is a happy bunny for the rest of the day. The staff are all lovely and welcoming and you are always met with a smile. There is a lovely atmosphere in here and that in itself makes you want to come back. So thank you to all of you for making the visit so pleasurable. I would definitely recommend that people come and try it.”

“Only disappointed I didn’t come here before! The owner is super nice, very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his business and what he does. The food was beautifully presented, tasted fantastic and very reasonably priced. These guys have a fantastic menu and I can’t wait to come back to try more!! There is parking at the rear and if you eat there they will even pay your parking! HIGHLY RECOMMEND”

“The parking is very easy to find and it has a lot of space. No queue and the staff were very helpful for my first time being there.They were very precise and explained everything that we didn’t understood about the family pack menu and so on. The seats on the other hand, were a bit dirty, the same goes to the walls and floor. A bit boring that you have to wait for 30min for commercials, so the movie didn’t started exactly when it had to. At the end, they waited for everyone who had to use the toilet and wished a “good night and hope to see you soon!”.”

“this starbucks was so cute! ☕ good for passers by on the a14. really handy for those staying in the travelodge across the road as well. it was nice and quiet, extremely empty! i got a cake pop which was super yummy and the staff were really friendly. i was going to try that new birthday drink but i’m not a fan of hazelnut if we are being honest.”

“Searched on maps for a pit stop on my long drive home. I'm not surprised this came up with great scores. Lovely little coffee shop, food selection isn't huge but very tasty. Both ladies were welcoming & polite & I was served promptly. I even ordered a to go iced coffee for the rest of my journey, as the one I'd had in there was so nice. Couldn't fault them”

“We love the cafe, as does our 2 year old who's been asking to go all week! We took her in today and were met with the usual very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food is always great, as is the coffee. At the end of our lovely visit our little one was given the chance to open the advent calendar and got a fantastic present. So happy to have this place available to us - and always great to find businesses run with such passion and pride. Thank you and Merry Christmas!”

“Visited for the first time this Sunday afternoon after having spied the Lilacs whilst out for a walk a couple of weeks previously. What a lovely place, a bit TARDIS like, it's bigger on the inside than it looks this is a really nice pub, with a big open airy restaurant and multiple outside spaces. The Sunday menu is good, not a wide selection, but everything on the menu appears to be well balanced and from our experience is done well. We had starters, carvery and dessert and all were lovely. The carvery was one of the best I've had, veg wasn't overcooked or dried out from being sat on the hot plate too long, the meat was juicy, tender and cooked nicely and the cauliflower cheese I could have eaten by the gallon. A delightful selection of desserts were on display in the cabinet, and the chocolate and cheesy mousse dessert I selected was beautiful, a rich deep flavour whilst still being light enough after a big meal. Topped it all off with a latte with Bailey's in and I was a happy man. The staff were all really friendly, and very attentive and helpful, service was quick and came with smiles and personality. We're already looking at when we can return to try the regular evening menu and another of the cakes from the cabinet.”

“Unique as part of Youth Works. Combine Training young people, with caring for customers big time. Art on walls, Renovated Barn, stylish and DOGS WELCOME. Lovely menu. Sofa as well as tables and chairs. No disabled parking nearer than Village Hall. But parking is good nearby. Love this place”

“A truly beautiful location and a lavish cavery to match. The service was excellent, everyone was very attentive and kind. The menu is traditional but diverse for a Sunday Cavery but enhanced in terms of quality and portions. The price is a little higher than your average cavery but as mentioned, the quality of items and the diverse amount of products that it comes with (seasonal veg, cauliflower cheese, goose fat roast potatoes, red cabbage and the finest yorkshire pudding i've had in some time) make a special meal. Highly recommend as we will certainly be back again.”

“Visited for Sunday Lunch on 26th May. We did book the week previously, and glad we did as i dont think we would have got a table. Parking is plentiful if you have an earlier booking, but can be busy later on and you may have to park away from pub and short walk in. Plenty of seating outside, especially if weather is warm. I had a pint of San Miguel and my wife had a Malibu and coke, which was £9.20. We were seated at our allotted time and the restaurant was busy but tables not too close and they cater for larger parties. There is a 2 or course option for Sunday lunch, we opted for the 2 courses for £25. I had the topside roast beef and my wife had the chicken. There is an option for Lamb shoulder (i will be having next visit). We were served quickly and the staff are very attentive and friendly. My roast beef was delicious as were the roast potatoes, Yorkshire, the roast parsnips and carrots, were also yummy. The veg came out seperate with peas, beans , leeks and cabbage, all of which were very fresh and cooked to perfection, we asked for extra veg and extra gravy. I think you get a better deal with the Chicken option as you get pigs in blankets and stuffing, which you dont get on the beef?? Anyway, my wife said it was the best roast she has had in more than a decade (high praise indeed). I have to agree, the meal was delicious and the portion generous as i could not finish my beef. We could not fault a thing on the plate, so compliments to the kitchen staff. For desert we had Sticky toffee pudding, i had custard and my wife had extra sauce and butterscotch ice cream. It was light yet scrumptious, and we were both full to bursting. The toilets were lovely and clean and probably the best toilets i have visited in a pub/restaurant for along time. Overall, value for money and the food superb. The service excellent, especially Tim the manager, a lovely kind man. By the way for all 3 courses it is £32. We will be back in the next couple of weeks as this was the best Sunday lunch for miles and miles.”
