“Lovely food, great portions. Really helpful and polite staff. Will definitely visit again”
“A lovely spot, members of staff are very professional and sweet. The food is decent, breakfast is absolutely top notch. Bar staff are all helpful and welcoming. Rooms are always clean and mint, smell fresh and well maintained. Been over 15 times never had to complain. 11/10”
“We ate here on Wednesday night whilst seeing some family who were staying at the hotel part. The servers were friendly and informative. Our food came out hot and delicious. 10/10 would visit again.”
“The Hidden Gem of Kettering. Wait till 11:30pm-midnight, the place is very lively!”

“Great atmosphere, vibe and music. Drinks are a little bit pricey but doesn't afford the overall experience. If you want a decent night out in Kettering this is deffo a must visit place. Decades Kettering always do everything they can to make a wonderful night for their clientèle. 10/10.”
“Visited for the first time this Sunday afternoon after having spied the Lilacs whilst out for a walk a couple of weeks previously. What a lovely place, a bit TARDIS like, it's bigger on the inside than it looks this is a really nice pub, with a big open airy restaurant and multiple outside spaces. The Sunday menu is good, not a wide selection, but everything on the menu appears to be well balanced and from our experience is done well. We had starters, carvery and dessert and all were lovely. The carvery was one of the best I've had, veg wasn't overcooked or dried out from being sat on the hot plate too long, the meat was juicy, tender and cooked nicely and the cauliflower cheese I could have eaten by the gallon. A delightful selection of desserts were on display in the cabinet, and the chocolate and cheesy mousse dessert I selected was beautiful, a rich deep flavour whilst still being light enough after a big meal. Topped it all off with a latte with Bailey's in and I was a happy man. The staff were all really friendly, and very attentive and helpful, service was quick and came with smiles and personality. We're already looking at when we can return to try the regular evening menu and another of the cakes from the cabinet.”
“Lovely friendly pub. Quick friendly service. Food was excellent. Portions just the right size to leave room for pudding.”
“Top tier staff. My wife and I left with a smile on our faces. We were well taken care of.”
“A truly beautiful location and a lavish cavery to match. The service was excellent, everyone was very attentive and kind. The menu is traditional but diverse for a Sunday Cavery but enhanced in terms of quality and portions. The price is a little higher than your average cavery but as mentioned, the quality of items and the diverse amount of products that it comes with (seasonal veg, cauliflower cheese, goose fat roast potatoes, red cabbage and the finest yorkshire pudding i've had in some time) make a special meal. Highly recommend as we will certainly be back again.”
“Visited for Sunday Lunch on 26th May. We did book the week previously, and glad we did as i dont think we would have got a table. Parking is plentiful if you have an earlier booking, but can be busy later on and you may have to park away from pub and short walk in. Plenty of seating outside, especially if weather is warm. I had a pint of San Miguel and my wife had a Malibu and coke, which was £9.20. We were seated at our allotted time and the restaurant was busy but tables not too close and they cater for larger parties. There is a 2 or course option for Sunday lunch, we opted for the 2 courses for £25. I had the topside roast beef and my wife had the chicken. There is an option for Lamb shoulder (i will be having next visit). We were served quickly and the staff are very attentive and friendly. My roast beef was delicious as were the roast potatoes, Yorkshire, the roast parsnips and carrots, were also yummy. The veg came out seperate with peas, beans , leeks and cabbage, all of which were very fresh and cooked to perfection, we asked for extra veg and extra gravy. I think you get a better deal with the Chicken option as you get pigs in blankets and stuffing, which you dont get on the beef?? Anyway, my wife said it was the best roast she has had in more than a decade (high praise indeed). I have to agree, the meal was delicious and the portion generous as i could not finish my beef. We could not fault a thing on the plate, so compliments to the kitchen staff. For desert we had Sticky toffee pudding, i had custard and my wife had extra sauce and butterscotch ice cream. It was light yet scrumptious, and we were both full to bursting. The toilets were lovely and clean and probably the best toilets i have visited in a pub/restaurant for along time. Overall, value for money and the food superb. The service excellent, especially Tim the manager, a lovely kind man. By the way for all 3 courses it is £32. We will be back in the next couple of weeks as this was the best Sunday lunch for miles and miles.”
“There is a great selection of beers and at a very good price. Recently introduced menu has lured me in a few times. Love tge mushy peas test came with my Veggie sausages and mash. Building has a beautiful charm. Looks small from the outside but 3 floors of rustic charm.”
“Best chips around. Great darts team too. Good range of beers and guest beers too”
“This is my favourite pub - good food at reasonable prices and pleasant staff. It has a good selection of ales anr is quite a popular place”
“What a fabulous place! Take friendly staff, a nice welcome as we arrived and what a menu. Granted, not the cheapest, but the food was sublime, well presented, delightfully cooked, and the food was front and centre to the experience, we had coffee outside afterwards, which just wrapped things up for us.. I love about 45 minutes away, but it's well worth the journey to get there.. I had scallops with black pudding, which was so flavoursome to start and half a lobster, which was an impressive size, well worth the money. The other main had was a lobster roll.. simple, but very tasty.. The lemon meringue was the right condonation of tangy and crunchy, chewy meringue..”
“It was a faultless evening for us. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The food was exceptional and really reasonably priced. The wine choice was brilliant. They went to the added effort of arranging a birthday card to be on the table. I'll be back again, thank you for a wonderful evening.”
“Absolutely amazing experience at Wama’s Lounge in Kettering! The food was incredible - full of flavour and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was a hit! The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made the experience even better. The ambience was spot on - stylish, comfortable, and perfect for a chill night out or a special occasion. Deffo recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food and great vibes. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Excellent place. Independent pubs seem to be quite rare now-a-days and this definitely is one. Excellent service an ambience. Great beer really impresses me and a lovely location. Popular indoor/outdoor space and enough parking. I always thought the Loop Road was a local myth but really is a road to where you just were with a great pub half-way round! Perhaps that's what heaven will be like...”
“First visit with the new chef, the food was very good and my husband’s steak was cooked to perfection. Wine selection was good, I had a glass of the Argentinian Malbec which I really enjoyed so of course I had to have a top up. We received a warm friendly welcome from the owner and the bar staff who kindly found us a table as we hadn’t booked. I would recommend booking as the pub was busy which created a good atmosphere. Need to try their Sunday Roast soon.”
“Great pub we fell into. The garden is amazing and the pub has a lovely feel. We had a 'Small plate'. I had a chicken waffle which was lovely and my wife had a prawn and chorizo taco. The mains however looked incredible. Definitely going back for the chicken burger. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended”
“Brilliant club, staff are very friendly, the food is simple but great, always served quickly, can't ask for anything else really.”
“A great pub, so different from the neighbouring places. The buzz of a local's pub, but with an atmosphere that made this stranger feel at home right away. The ale helped, of course. Well-kept, and thanks for offering me a refill from time to time Zoe. Good work.”
“Nice selection of beers at a very good price, nice friendly bar staff.”
“Didn't eat there. Had a daytime Disco. Absolutely brilliant. Great for hens, girls out and moms who can't get out at nights... Danced for 4 hours ! Everyone was so friendly and all having fun and singing their lungs out. Parked across the road.”
“We held my brother’s wedding celebration at The Woolpack Inn this afternoon and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We wanted a relaxed, family-style buffet for a small wedding gathering, and it was absolutely perfect. The food was far better than we expected, plentiful, beautifully presented, and with a real touch of luxury. The service was outstanding; every member of staff was polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. Nothing was too much trouble, and every little detail was looked after. A small issue arose during the afternoon, and it was dealt with kindly and professionally, a real credit to the team. Special thanks to Dan, the manager, who was a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking process and so helpful on the day itself. We would highly recommend The Woolpack Inn for any small celebration. They helped make our family day truly special, and we’ll definitely be back soon to dine in the restaurant.”
“We had our wedding reception at the peacock yesterday and was absolutely thrilled with the service , the treatment from staff. Top quality venue , I would recommend The Peacock .”
“We were pleasantly surprised to discover such a high-level restaurant and pub in the small village of Brigstock. The place has a beautifully authentic interior with thoughtful details that give it a unique charm. In the main dining area, there’s even a vintage pub game table — a lovely touch that adds to the atmosphere. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the food is made with fresh, local ingredients from nearby farms. They serve brunch, have a pool table, two spacious terraces, a kids’ corner, and lots of board games to enjoy. There are also special events like quiz nights and Steak Thursdays with great offers. The service was absolutely brilliant — attentive, friendly, and professional. A true hidden gem!”
“Excellent location with lovely atmosphere to spend a relaxing lunch with my Father for my birthday. Staff were very friendly and courteous and the food was absolutely glorious, thank you.”
“Good place to have some paints. Nice waiter, reasonable prices.”
