Booked a table for a Saturday dinner time. Booking is a good idea as tables are in demand. Staff were very friendly and eager to please, which made the experience enjoyable. We had the steak specials and from the pic, you and can see they were large and cooked to perfection. The boy wanted nothing on the kids menu as it's the usual kid stuff, so he asked if he could have half a portion of the wings and ribs - and it was no problem. He really enjoyed them, so next time I'll have the ribs. Ha. Price is normal...around 20 to 30 per head for a decent meal.

First visit with the new chef, the food was very good and my husband’s steak was cooked to perfection. Wine selection was good, I had a glass of the Argentinian Malbec which I really enjoyed so of course I had to have a top up. We received a warm friendly welcome from the owner and the bar staff who kindly found us a table as we hadn’t booked. I would recommend booking as the pub was busy which created a good atmosphere. Need to try their Sunday Roast soon.

Popped in for dinner after seeing all the updates from the new management on Facebook. They have done wonders with the place and still have loads of ideas to enact. Ended up having a three course meal because the food was so delicious, everything is made fresh on the day and you can really tell. Scotch egg for start, followed by steak au poivre, and then biscoff cheesecake, it was amazing. The welcome and service was very good and a very comfortable place to eat. Will definitely be going back very soon.

Nice welcome and dog friendly. We were told that they were in the middle of a menu change so the options were limited. It was very quiet though. Hopefully it will pick up soon for them.

Sunday lunch for Father's day..... Bit chaotic in the kitchen and service was very slow considering..... By all accounts they serve takeaway food too which seem to take priority over table seating..... Food was delicious to be far..... Wouldn't hurry back but would give it another go....

What a fantastic pub with an amazing look and feel, tons of people turn up for fresh fish and home cooked chips every Friday and on the first Sunday of every month, patrons are treated to quality live music.. Great local ales and a wide selection of wines and spirits and family friendly!
