Went here today to take my son for his very first pint on his 18th birthday and everything/one was absolutely fantastic. Food was good and the staff were even better. Also, some very random/kind stranger bought us a pint. Excellent experience overall.
Awesome work Xmas party. Despite being super busy, we had good service and enjoyed a fun night. Great value for money and the talented live singer was a super bonus.
Nice pub, with multiple good things going for it. However, I feel massively sorry for the staff during peak hours. Been in around three times now on a Saturday night, and they’re massively understaffed which understandably stresses them out. Can hear them moaning frequently, and it’s obvious they need support.
Good city pub,always a friendly atmosphere,Great value on 2 meals for £14.99 that were more than plentiful and served piping hot. Friday night karaoke is obviously very popular with so many different singers. Special shout out to all the staff who were very welcoming and attentitive especially the banter with both Brian and Becks (who cooked our meals) Well run pub and would be happy to recommend,definitely returning.
Stopped by to watch the football, seems like a popular pub. Food coming past smelt and looked great but we didn't eat. Loads of screens around the pub, even a few outside which we did hope to watch but sadly they didn't have audio outside. Good selection of drinks on tap and bar staff were friendly.
Had a quick drink and snack, was really busy due to Live football on TV but service was still really quick.
Very welcoming,friendly staff. The drinks are very reasonable priced,I also ordered a Alabama BBQ burger which came along with chips and onion rings,decent size meal priced around eleven pounds,meal was nice. The venue itself was clean,quiet which was a bonus for me as don't like places abit to lively,a must for anyone wanting to watch football,horse/dog racing and I think they even had cricket on other screens. Only downer was/is you have to pay a car parking fee if you drive and its not a set amount as you have to pay by the hour to which I paid 3.50p for a three hour stay.
Well that was a delight. Not so busy for a lunchtime escape. We had a drink and the steak sandwich. This was cooked as I expected. The portion was larger than I had anticipated for the price (a suprise these days) and the cut of meat was gristle free. Add into this mix some friendly service and a clean space. I'm more than happy to recommend this.
Restaurant on a weekday night wasn’t too crowded. It’s a typical old English pub with wooden furniture and upholstered seats. You order at the counter and they serve the food. Wide selection of beer they had. Food was ok not exceptional. We had bao buns, fish and chips, calamari. Prices are reasonable.
