“Went for lunch at this lovely pub. Staff were outstanding. Food was really tasty and very reasonably priced. I can highly recommend the Hunters Chicken, delicious. Husband had the all day breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely be back when we are in this area again.”

“Aldiss Café is located at Hall Road Retail Park, Hall Rd, Norwich NR4 6DH. This Cafe is on the upper floor of Aldiss furniture shop. It offers number of set meals with soup and drinks. My favorite is the afternoon tea set for one person costs £10.95 with many pastries, sandwiches, cakes, scone, well presented. ..adequate for two person to share. Drinks like coffee or tea can be re-filled in the afternoon tea set. Wonderful food, excellent customer experience, delicious soup. Maximum 3 hour car parking stay. Highly recommended.”

“Lesley and Pat are very special friends of mine who I've had the pleasure of knowing for many years and I love very dearly. They are always very welcoming. They are always up for a laugh and have really amazing personalities and a really fantastic sense of humour. You will always have a really enjoyable time when you go to their pub.”

“Fantastic people, fantastic food! The people who run the front of house (a stocky gentlemen mid 20s black hair) real gentleman + the rest of the team who seemed friendly too. Not many planes do Shawrma in Norwich and this being one of the very few, imo the best tasting. Standard combo - peri salted chips with peri wings and a kinder beuno milkshake. They do it all, from mouth watering takeaway shawarma style, chicken plamos and pizzas to all desserts such as creps, waffles even bubble tea. Very well worth your money, a must to get food from! Kept clean too. Nice to see”

Service and food was fantastic. 2 great guys worked very hard to make an excellent evening for us, we will definitely go back on next holiday break up in Norfolk. Thanks again. “Shared a lovely meal for two just my husband & I before the mad rush of the next 2 weeks. Our server Sharon was attentive but not pushy, our meal came quickly, we both went for the turkey roast which was absolutely delicious (our plates were full) everything was nice & hot. We went for 2 courses, my brownie & ice cream was yummy, hubby went for Bakewell tart & custard - it’s a man thing! Would thoroughly recommend booking a table.”

“A great little Trespass just outside the shopping centre. Very friendly and helpful staff even though it was a wet Saturday afternoon and the shop was very busy. Good selection of coats at a very good price. For a change a shop had all the right sizes to try on too. Some great offers in the shop for various accessories too so all good for me.”

“Really enjoyable.! Would definitely recommend, and go again. The staff were very helpful and overall the atmosphere was relaxed . We will be back. Next time I will be trying the salmon with pineapple salsa . I had brought in a cake as one of our party had a birthday and the staff helped with that too. Thank you .”

“One of the nicer Prets I’ve visited, clean, well stocked with choice, friendly staff and the coffee was good! There’s seating inside or out and a lovely 2nd floor space if you want a bit of a quieter area! Recommend the salt beef in rye! Delicious. Nice decor inside and comfy seats”

“Walked in and paid, no waiting around. Staff ready to serve and helpful. Drinks and food came quickly enough to the lane. Kids enjoyed playing both games and didn't get bored. Went into the arcades, great range of games with ticket prizes. My only suggestion would be to ask about bumpers when booking in, as this is done manually it meant we had to go back and ask for this to be done. As there was no queue this wasn't a big deal, but I imagine when busy it's not ideal.”

The menu is massive and has sooo much to choose from and they do a good deal on kids eating here. It's. Shame this place is out of range! “Well, what an unexpected treat this was! We booked online, but needed to phone in to double check which menu would be served, the young lady was incredibly kind and knowledgeable suggesting we tweak our time as we preferred a late breakfast to an early lunch. On arrival I was acknowledged at the bar, and guided to our table. The attention to detail on service was spot on, both Jack and Ben with their warm, cheery, nothing is a problem dispositions, ensured everything about our orders for 3 was exactly as expected. Piping hot, perfect poached egg, all breakfast items were delicious, two veggies and one meaty. We will definitely return the next time we visit Norwich, thank you Ben and Jack for going above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible experience in your beautifully refurbished pub. PS loos we’re spotless, immaculately clean!”

“Place seems lovely. Went there at 7.30 pm, it had been busy and there was only gammon for the carvery. We were offered chicken breasts also and sausage though so happy with that. Pretty good prices. View of the River is pretty. Would definitely go back just earlier for the carvery.”

“I am not usually one for posting reviews, however, I felt it was necessary after the absolutely brilliant evening myself and my work colleagues all had on Friday night for our Christmas party. Kevin the manager was incredible, first class customer service! Kevin was attentive, helpful, efficient and just everything this place needs in a manager. Then onto Rachel from the kitchen, wow, what can I say... The food that was prepared for us that evening was just perfect! Rachel catered to our specific needs and requirements ensuring that everyone could enjoy plenty of delicious food including options for vegan and vegetarian preferences, all of which was freshly prepared and served promptly. I would like to say a huge thank you and well done to everyone at the Compleat team including not only Kevin and Rachel but also the bar and kitchen staff too as you all played a part in making our evening so wonderful, we couldn't have asked for more!”

“We popped in for lunch. We didn't book as it was a random day. However they accommodated us. And made changes to the meals as required for my daughter. Also a nice selection of non alcoholic beverages. I had to leave and collect my daughter and left my grandmother here, and Ellie made sure the food was kept warm until I got back. Very helpful staff and Ellie was very attentive =)”

“The second coming, appropriately at Easter for a whistle stop meeting with my daughter & boyfriend. Where can you get a roast dinner all day & for £11 with a drink? The Shoe Makers, Norwich. It really is cheap n cheerful but in the best way. The roasts & fish n chips were cooked to perfection & piping hot & a salad I had last month, outside, was fresh, crisp & had a delicious dressing. The interior is interesting, colourful & indicative to Norwich. The reason for the review, is the staff. Hadley the Barman, since only Dec(!) is professional, knowledgeable, approachable, and so damn cheerful! One can see he is a kind, honest, good person that likes people & service. He is a real asset to any establishment, so keep your eyes open & don’t let him go Shoe Makers Management. You can teach customer service & hospitality, but Hadley is a natural. I also met the Assistant Manager, Harrison. A lovely, warm, friendly chap, who also exudes charm & professionalism. Either wouldn’t be out of place in Mayfair. Happy Easter x”

“First time visiting The Whiffler and first time I've tried a Wetherspoons breakfast. Proper lovely food, nice and cheap. Unlimited refill coffee for £1.71... can't honestly go wrong can you! Ordered on the app and everything arrived within minutes! Not a bad atmosphere inside either, typical from any Wetherspoon up and down the country. Will definetly pop in again.”
