   The toilets leave a lot to be desired tbh. The ladies toilet grubby , no mirror and ill fitting toilet seats. Needs a complete refurb… will keep my legs crossed when next visiting this pub. . Drinks are vey expensive, compared to other Norwich pubs. On the upside, they do a brilliant Karaoke once a month, on a Sunday So will go, just for that!!

   A pub that bizarrely blares out obnoxious dance music at 11am onwards on a Tuesday and other weekdays, extremely strange. Not respectful to its neighbours at all and I’m pretty sure often breaks residential noise laws. Pub is rundown and unwelcoming, offers nothing to the community.

   Unfortunately, one of the worst pubs I've been in for many years. It was so cold I had to keep my coat and gloves on. I don't think it's had any money spent on the decor, furniture and toilets for many years, it was like going into a pub that would have looked tired and dated in the 80's. My partner needed to use the toilet when we arrived, asked at the bar where there were and was then followed to the toilets by a male bar staff asking what she wanted to order to drink! What the heck? Why did we stay? We'd gone there for a music singaround which was great, but the pub tried it's best to ruin that by letting someone upstairs play dance music which was equally as loud as the acoustic music in the room downstairs. When the bar staff were asked if anything could be done about the noise, they said they'd deal with it, but nothing happened. Just before closing time, all the lights in the room we were in were turned off, then turned back on with a humourous apology. I hope the singaround moves elsewhere, The Nelson does not deserve their custom. Awful place!

   It a proper local pub with really friendly staff, good selection of beers and ciders and good atmosphere. Everyone will say hello. The pub has a pool table and darts board which is good for a bit of competitive fun. And a lovely beet garden in the summer. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

   This is one of the best pubs in the city if you want to enjoy a beer and at the same time buy a greyhound. Friendly customers will gladly 'mac your drive' for a 'cheap price'. 10/10 would definitely get stabbed here again.
