   It was just a nice and cosy pub, not very crowded. People were all regular ones trying to have fun. Staff friendly, I am a student and have not felt any negativity, despite the comment below. The prices were a little bit high, 5.9 for a cider. But seriously the songs they were playing were wonderful music, it was not alive but doesn't matter, i enjoyed. It was not loud, we were still able to chat but also still enjoyable. Would be my favorite pub if i stayed in Norwich. Sorry that I have discovered so late.

   Can't fault the staff, they were friendly despite it being a busy night. No decent ales on tap (customers in 2024 are a little more discerning than the standard Stella, carling, Guinness routine). The decor was an attempt at cosy but just seemed a touch bizarre. The toilets (complete with smashed in door) looked like something from a guy Richie set (thankfully vinnie Jones never turned up to knock me out). It's a very attractive building from the outside and has a large paved area, which must be appealing in the summer if you're not too bothered by the traffic.

   Pleasantly surprised when visiting recently. I would say historically would not have been a venue of choice. But I went here after a gig at the lcr and enjoyed a good beer at a fair price in a lovely atmosphere!

   For students the vibe was just off, coasters saying "you can't joke about anything these days" empty booths and loud men. Looks super cosy from the outside, wish I could say the same of the inside. Not rating 1 star because didn't have chance to try the drinks because we just wanted outta there

   This is a pretty decent pub, have not eaten here but we noticed there was a good choice of drinks. Customer service here could be better, however.

   Went in for a coffee in the early afternoon while a friend attended local hospital for a cancer scan. Friendly enough, coffee just a granules and hot water mix. Locals like the easy atmosphere, but nothing too exciting about the place then. Evening time could be quite different. I may find out one day.
