   Myself and friends recently had a celebratery meal. What i will say the eating experience was 5 star from when we entered and purchased our drinks to when we had our order taken to the standard of food, presentation, cooked to perfection. We did ask who cook our meal and it was conveyed to us a young chef called Kyle. All I will add is young chef will go far, he is an asset to your restaurant. We will certainly be returning. Many thanks to all the staff but in particular Kyle.

   Had a meal on 12/12/25. Myself and some friends, honestly could not fault our dinning experience. I’ve had a lot of meals here and all have amazing, but this one was exceptional. One of my friends has a list of dietary requirements and still had a good selection of food to choose from, so if you have any allergies or dietary requirements this place is good to go to. We did ask who had cooked our food as we were so impressed. We were told Kyle had cooked our food and I would just like to send credit where it is due, he is an amazing chef. My friends were so happy they have been talking about eating here in the new year, when he’s working. The front of house staff were outstanding too unfortunately we didn’t catch their names. Definitely recommend eating here especially if Kyle is working in the kitchen. You will not be disappointed!

   Had a meal for my nieces 18th birthday on 08/12/25 and what can I say? I was spoilt for choice on the menu (that’s coming from someone with allergies and dietary requirements)!! The front of house team were absolutely outstanding the time we were there. And the chef in the kitchen, Kyle is an asset to your kitchen team. Considering there was 10 of us eating, he done an outstanding job and the food you couldn’t fault.

   Unfortunately booked a table here, arrived, sat down and told a server would see us shortly. However we waited over 20 minutes and eventually left. I understand food orders wouldn’t be taken within this time frame. But even to be greeted or drinks order to be taken would’ve been appreciated. While we waited the waitresses stood talking unmeaningly :(

   Great garden to visit for snowdrops, I would say a little expensive for entry. Worth a walk about for a couple of hours Has a large coffee shop which I did not sample. Shame they don't allow you to picnic

   I went with my 2 children we all had lovely breakfasts. My children love the fact they can serve themselves from the buffet bit. The staff are very friendly. Also children eat free its fantastic value for money.

   Brilliant all you can eat breakfast. £9.50 for as much as you can... and coffee. Perfect. But it would be great if the staff came back to see if you wanted any more, that would make it 5⭐️

   Booked a table for 7 for all you can eat breakfast sitting at 8am. On arrival we were told we would need to vacate the table as they had another group booked for 9:15. The hot food was served at the table, the eggs were overcooked, the mushrooms were cold, some of the orders were not right. No staff came back to see if we wanted anything else or how the food was. I cannot recommend the Showground.

   First time I've visited this place. Not a lot of atmosphere, very quiet. Waited quite a while for the food to arrive. I chose the roast turkey dinner. Dissapointed as the meal was not hot roast potatoes were pale not crunchy and not fully cooked. They were frozen ones so not very tasty. Peas were dry, had to ask for the cranberry sauce, . The waiter was a nice chap friendly polite and helpful. Sadly rushed off his feet, serving the few table fulls of people clearing away, getting drinks etc. Was apologetic about the meals served to myself and a friend. Won't be going again, could have gone to the nearby carvery and enjoyed a full plate of well cooked food and served piping hot for a much better price. I'm sorry but wont be recommending this venue.
