1. Old Fella ★☆☆☆☆

   No stay, Just popped in for a drink and some food, young girl behind bar nice friendly and smiley, ( she could do better than this place), ordered some food, 45mins later no food. Whilst waiting there were local loud heavy drinkers, some that had to light up a fag before they left the bar, sitting waiting for food we had to endure men out side spitting, smoking like it was there last one in life. We just had to get out of the place. Over all a terrible uncomfortable experience. Never again.

   Where to start? The room was more like a closet with no wardrobe, hangers or chair? The TV remote was broken and the TV itself was faulty with the sound disappearing after 10 minutes. The shower was literally a dribble. The large light in the shower room has no cover so the wires etc are exposed. The toilet paper dispenser was broken and I had to take it apart to get the toilet roll out. The bed had no headboard but has a radiator behind it instead. There was a leak at some point in the roof which broke through the ceiling which has never been sealed or re-done. The carpet was filthy because they haven’t replaced them since the leak. The windows are single glazed in-spite of being next to a (fairly) busy road… you can hear everything! I could also hear heavy dripping coming from the ceiling… that leak will show itself soon.

   Absolutely amazing! I held my wedding reception here and they went above and beyond! Everything was perfect and just as I wanted! I couldn't have asked for more. The garden is a stunning location to hold a wedding and the landlady blew it out of the water! She's one of the nicest friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!

   The team here are absolutely perfect, they looked after us all so well and provided a beautiful place for our dad's wake. Food was lovely, and plentiful! A lovely venue, fantastic prices and a completely personal and caring service from the staff and owner. Thank you all!

   Staff were friendly & helpful even telling us where we could get food as there kitchen was out of order, also said we could bring food in to eat because of this. Drinks were cheap, bar was clean, toilets were clean. Lovely atmosphere & a variety of music was playing. Our room was comfortable & clean & enough for what we needed it for.

   We had a 2 night weekend break here. We were in a very large family room above the main bar. Our greeting was friendly and helpful and the room itself, although dated in decor, was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely,,and again served by friendly staff. The accommodation suited our purpose and we would use it again.

   My grandaughter had her 11th birthday celebrations here today. Wow, the food was amazing and very good value for money! The staff were very friendly and acommodating. We had a few fussy people, there was no issue! Changed the items they didn't like on the meal with no fuss. My daughter is GF and DF she had meals to choose from defo 5* would really recommend.
