Seems like a great place. We went for the first time to watch a band play. Drinks were reasonably priced. Huge carpark. Out door area for smokers too. Friendly people. It's had a bad reputation in the past, but it certainly didn't feel bad to us The atmosphere was great. Definitely go again. It has a pool table too.
The pub shares a car park with Aldi. I went as an Aldi shopper, thinking I was in an Aldi car park, which signage suggests. However, the pub hires a private company to charge people up to £100 for parking in their unclearly-signed parking bay in what you think is an Aldi car park. What a scam.
It's my HEART, they're my PEOPLE, Down to Earth, Friendly , Approachable People, a mix of 2something to 80 something. I'll guarantee You'll find something for Ya ( even just to lift your mood) . I Learned a Great Many Lessons From this Place.❤️
Went to go in for an evening pint. 9.50 pm and a small group sat at the bar talking to the only chap behind the bar drinking, don’t know if manager or not? Got told straight away that they were shut! The place stank of weed & looked a total dive, from the last time I went in a few months previous. Shocking!
We went in today for a Sunday roast.. looked on their website to check prices.. they advertised that it would only cost £8.95 for an adult meal. When we arrived the board outside said £10.95. So we still wanted a great carvery. The food was horrible warmed by a microwave as we heard the famous DINGround the back. We couldn't smell any food that had been cooked but was told it was all cooked by the chef. A frozen dinner meal would have been better and cheaper.
Visited the place to have some beer, was very calm Sunday afternoon - I liked it - standard English pub - friendly staff. Didn't order any food so no comments but definitely will come back to try it.
Very friendly staff. Excellent food served quickly. Quiet at lunchtime during the week, not sure what it's like evenings and weekends. Will definitely be back!
