“I only had the burger, but it was exceptional, and the waitress was very nice too. She explained that tonight's was a simple menu because the service coincided with a pub quiz in the Roseberry, but I would be keen to try their more elaborate offerings on another night.”

“We went to celebrate a special anniversary- a group of 12. Waitresses were lovely and took our orders quickly. Everyone in the group had a different meal and they all came out in a reasonable time and looked delicious. The whole family agreed that it was the best meal out they’d had in a while. If we ever come back to Great Yarmouth I’ll definitely be coming here to eat.”

“The workshop cafe is an absolute treat, I’d almost go as far as saying the best place to eat in Norwich. The small dishes are delicious, flavoursome and healthy. I love that it’s focussed on a breakfast/lunch/afternoon vibe rather than selling out for evening dinners. It’s decor is vivacious, relaxed and a little bohemian. “We popped in today on a mission regarding my mum and dad and had lunch while we were here. I had the Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Ciabatta, which was delicious and my son had the White Horse burger, which he genuinely felt was the best burger he had ever eaten. He also said the coleslaw was worth going for on its own.”

“Five of us had a lovely meal and a lovely time at the Fox & Hounds on a trip to Norfolk. We chose it for our evening meal because it had good reviews, and were happy to be able to have our booking accepted quite late in the day. We ate in one of their garden pods, which was fantastic for us as a group of five, one of whom finds taking part in conversation in noisy places challenging at times. In our own little pod/shed, with fairy lights, plenty of space, nice table and chairs, we had a lovely convivial evening. The service was great, very friendly staff looked after us well, and the food was fantastic. Outside in the garden a group were enjoying the warm evening, singing along with some music being played by a DJ. We could hear and enjoy the music and the frivolity without it being a nuisance, more of a pleasure! We all really enjoyed our meals, the menu was varied and good for all of us - I really enjoyed my very tasty vegan burger, and also the cheesecake. If we lived nearer, we'd be back!”

“Lovely pub. We've been for food on several occasions and it's been great every time. This time we came for a family Christmas lunch and it couldn't have been better so I had to post. Delicious food, delightful staff and a lovely cosy atmosphere.”

“Wow! What a venue!!! We had our wedding here and I couldn't recommend it more. From start to finish, all the staff exceeded any expectations and couldn't do enough for you. It's a stunning venue, lots of room for dancing and a beautiful outdoor space with veranda which is perfect for photos. They helped us every step of the way and went out of their way to make sure it was just perfect. They let us drop decor off the day before and even set it all up perfectly so we could relax in the morning. Food was amazing, generous portions and the rooms are lovely. All our guests commented on how amazing the venue is and moreover the staff - they are such a credit to the place! Couldn't recommend more Thank you Beckiee and team - you are all superstars !!!!”

“We had a really lovely meal, as we always do. Staff helpful and service is quick. The only complaint we'd have is that we were seated in the small dining room which accommodates two tables of 8. When occupied this can be really noisy. At times we struggled to hear each other. This is the second time I've encountered this issue. In future I will ask to be seated in the main dining area.”

“I've been here a few times for drinks and they do great cocktails - they also have an interesting wine list. We've wanted to eat here for a while but hadn't managed to get a table - we did manage just before Christmas though, and I'm so pleased we did. I didn't have my phone with me so no pix but the food was lovely. I'm late posting the review so don't recall exactly what we had but it was local fish and veg, beautifully cooked. Next time I'll take pics and do a more detailed review! One addendum, the bar area can get a bit noisy early on, when there is a big party of work colleagues.”

“Wow what an experience!! 10 TVs and a projector! 18 pool tables 6 snooker tables and 10 dart boards. Fantastic atmosphere and great service (Perry was awsome!) Will definitely go back during these cold, wet winter months!”

“Extremely comfortable well appointed room, done to a high standard. Unfortunately the bar & restaurant was closed due to it been a Monday. So made do with excellent biscuits in the room. The breakfast next day was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. A quiet out of the way hotel with superb rooms, well worth a stay,”

“We had the 2 x course Sunday roast, £32 per head. Fabulous food - I had roast beef and chocolate peanut butter dessert.. one of the best meals I've ever had. Book early as it's very popular.”

“Here from the U.S., we are staying nearby and stopped in for a quick drink at the pub. Everyone was so incredibly nice and welcoming we ended up staying for hours drinking and talking. Highly recommend a visit here. This is an amazing little pub. The locals are wonderful, and the owner is just the best!”

“Loved this pub. Right on the river what a magnificent setting. The Sunday lunch was tasty and big, no corners cut. So relaxing watching the boats go by and our dog enjoyed it too paddling in the overspill from the river Highly recommended”

“I've never been in here as I never knew it was there. OMG!! The food is amazing ❤️ The food came out quite quickly, considering there were a lot of us (9 of us in total) I had the Brie Wedges with Chips and Garlic Bread. It was delicious. My husband had a Gammon Steak with Egg, Pineapple and Chips, and he said it was lovely and very filling. For dessert, I had the Trillionaires Tart, whilst my husband had the Caramel Blondie, both were very, very nice! This place is definitely worth a visit. Hopefully, we will be back for a Sunday Roast one day soon.”

“This is the best Indian I have had. It was an absolute pleasure to dine at The Merchants Of Spice 2 Norwich, Norfolk. A real authentic warm ambiance, I loved the music & the big round table we had was perfect for the six of us.The food quality is unmatched, really clean feel, The tika platter is a must the lamb Rogan josh was superb also. The naan was perfect with a slight toasted bottom, quite unique & tasted lovely. The service second to non, staff polite & more than ready to help us. Nish the owner was up front & center he can be very proud of his restaurant, this is number 2 I believe & I have no doubt they’ll be a number 3 in the future. Thank you for a great night. Oh also I must add there’s a very big spacious car park which was lovely because normally that’s the biggest nightmare. Was lovely to have onsite parking. We traveled in two cars so that was a big help.”

“I had a fantastic mother's day meal at the White Horse today with dear friends and my two teenage children. We were greeted by the new landlord with complimentary prosecco and a truffle style chocolate for the mum's that were dining. We all had a fantastic 2 course meal. There was a wide range to choose from and the pricing was incredibly reasonable with two courses for approx £25 3 of our diners chose the roasts, my son had venison and I had the sea bass and saffron prawns. My overall favourite was the starter, it was simple, delicious and cooked to perfection. I've attached a photo We then sampled their new cocktail menu, the teens had the mocktails and I had a sex on the beach and an espresso martini for dessert. It was such a nice treat to have a glass full of cocktail as opposed to a glass half filled with ice (which seems to be the norm nowadays) All the staff were really friendly and attentive, it really did feel like a special treat in a relaxed atmosphere! “My daughter and son in law had their wedding reception here last night and wow what a lovely little pub...the landlady and staff pulled out all the stops and decorated it beautifully for them.really lovely little gem of a place will definitely be coming here for food in the future as have heard the do great food.”

“As someone from central London, Bangladeshi restaurants are a dime a dozen. But this restaurant, which is 15 mins away from the Great Yarmouth beachfront offered such a lovely enjoyable meal. The King prawn puree was the best I've tasted. The sweet chilli chicken was flavourful and so tender. The daal is so authentic. Service was great and pricing seems very reasonable against the quality offered. Highly recommend. The people who live in the area are very lucky!”

“I went while on holiday October 2025. I chose it due to the fact it was rated highly by the locals. We were not disappointed. The roast dinners are fab. Good luck if you think you can get through the larger of the 2 choices. My wife had the small, and needed help. I had a burger and it was superb, texture and quality and flavour all out of this world. If we go to anywhere in Norfolk again we'll make this one of our treats for the week. Worth travelling to.”

“What a lovely pub this is and with so much character and such a chilled out vibe in the place. The staff where very welcoming and the service was quick and of a great standard. The food was just fantastic and we only ate off the bar menu the special menu looked absolutely amazing but I just could resist the cod and chips and it was not a let down by a long shot the best I’ve had in years, and then the pudding was to die for that brownie was sooooo good I’d highly recommend both dishes.”
