   Rare you come across a pub like this now. They don’t try to be something they’re not – no fancy small plates or overpriced “gastro” menu, just proper British classics done really well. The roast is exceptional and the value for money is unreal. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place to anyone :)

   Happened upon this pub whilst wandering. The staff were very friendly, providing banter and excellent service. The toilets were clean and the pub itself, well presented. We ordered beef chilli and chicken kebab skewers. The food was hot, tasty and had very generous portions sizes (although not too sure about the slices of orange on the side,). We ordered two mains, a large wine and a pint of beer and the total was £50. Very reasonable for a meal that filled us up, was tasty and appropriately hot and well chilled wine/good beer. Will definitely visit again if in the area. Thank you for being so welcoming.

   I've never been in here as I never knew it was there. OMG!! The food is amazing ❤️ The food came out quite quickly, considering there were a lot of us (9 of us in total) I had the Brie Wedges with Chips and Garlic Bread. It was delicious. My husband had a Gammon Steak with Egg, Pineapple and Chips, and he said it was lovely and very filling. For dessert, I had the Trillionaires Tart, whilst my husband had the Caramel Blondie, both were very, very nice! This place is definitely worth a visit. Hopefully, we will be back for a Sunday Roast one day soon.

   Called a week back for a Sunday roast, which was excellent, so good in fact that we called again on the Monday for a bite to eat early evening. Good food, plenty of it, and at a reasonable price, same goes for the drinks. The people running this dog friendly place are most hospitable. A well frequented establishment, good outside space and parking.

   Amazing place friendly staff and locals. Had garlic mushrooms to start while the wife had whitebait. For main course we both had there posh KFC homemade chicken and chips. All that we had was homemade Including the chips! The chef here is very good. Nothing was to much trouble service with a smile. Wheelchair friendly and a easily accessible disabled toilet witch was spotlessly clean. On a whole a fantastic experience all round and we will definitely return.

   Stopped by after a local walk for lunch and had pre-booked. Very friendly welcome and super service throughout. Something that genuinely doesn't exist in restaurants these days so we were chuffed with this. Excellent menu with fair prices. Food great thanks too and we'll certainly be returning
