   We had three visits to this pub during our stay at the Three Rivers Pitch and Padle campsite. We walked to the pub via Beccles in the pouring rain and we were delighted to find a warm welcome and even warmer log fire on arrival. The next day we padled a kayak to the pub for lunch and a few beers in glorious sunshine and we returned at night for the evening entertainment Tales and Ales. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the food is excellent pub grub and the beers go down very well after a walk, cycle or padle. Highly recommended.

   A lovely isolated pub down a gravel track across the marshes. Very busy when we went but it was a sunny summer Saturday. Good food & drink options, staff really friendly & cheerful.

   Great pub located right on the River Waveney. Great local beers and Ciders. Wine by the bottle or glass too. We traveled there by the Big Dog Ferry from Beccles. Recommended.

   A wee gem found by only those that explore..... Easily reachable by canoe, paddle board or kayak, and even motorised watercraft (height potentially restricted), this place is well worth the visit. Land vehicles are welcomed too, but unless disabled there is a short 2-5 minute walk depending on mobility..... A few sherberts could mean your walk back is on the longer side. My experience of the food was exceptional. I'm a burger fiend, but when I tasted the battered haddock and chips, I realised I made the wrong choice. The burger was a bloody good one, but wow, the fish and chips were perfect. Up amongst the top 3 best battered fish and chips I've had. Lovely beer garden with plenty of seating as well as an extensive array of inside space. Plenty of different activities such as storytelling and folk music to name but a few. A small area with some classic bar games to boot and who doesn't enjoy bar billiards? My only complaint is that this boozer isn't my local...... Anyone have a house for rent/sale nearby? A perfect example of what a pub should be..... Try it out and tell me I'm wrong.

   Lovely pub stop on the river / first class service and food. Chef cooks a nice Dahl. Great Bitter well deserved after a long canoe trip. Can moor at this pub and it’s perfect with plenty of outside tables/ nice old pub - highly recommended- nice staff.

   Family tradition shared with me by a local farmer who grew up here and was a regular with his father when he was a boy herding the cows on the marsh lands. We had a pint on a sunny afternoon and met with another local wearing his favorite military jacket. Their stories of days they had spent here with friends were truly unique. Being allowed to listen to their stories is something I will remember and hope to try again on my next visit. If you want to visit an authentic country inn situated at the end of a country dirt tree lined lane on the canal, you will not be disappointed with a stop here.

   A beautiful traditional pub which is now community run. Stopped off here during an afternoon of canoeing for drinks. They serve a good selection of beverages and also have a decent menu of food too, all at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Plenty of tables and benches outside, whether permitting, to sit and admire the picturesque setting. Very well worth a visit if you are in the area.

   Moored up at the bottom of the pub garden. The water was lovely and clear. The pub is a beautiful, old fashioned country pub, with a different atmosphere in different rooms. They've got a nice selection of drinks, and did a lovely vegan burger, with the best fries I have ever eaten. The staff were amazing too! We then had a game of darts, as the billiard table looked a bit complicated after a few drinks. I can't recommend this pub enough, especially if you're cruising around on the broads and fancy a quiet, peaceful evening.

   With this place it's location location location . In short it's a great location . A beautiful setting with the river and walks in the surrounding area . Maybe the food could be described as well done , if a little old fashioned . On a summers day definitely the best place to be out in the fresh air .
