the food here wasn’t too great, most of the chicken was over cooked and the portion sizes weren’t great, if you’re eating by yourself then it’d be fine but they aren’t sharing portions and was quite expensive considering you don’t get any thing left over
Ordered a standard chicken balls, chow mein and chips, and have to say, it was all pretty tasty. My only complaint is, like virtually every Chinese takeaway, you're compelled to buy more than enough to eat, if you want a little variation. Would order from here again, but definitely go for less, unless ordering for two. In which case, the portion sizes were ideal.
Best Chinese takeaway ever ! Food is delicious, staff are very nice. I loved the duck plum Sauce, beef black bean dish and chicken ginger and spring onion so yummy . Definitely recommend and come back .
Chips were hard and dry and tasted different. Chicken chow mein had a very strange flavour ,chicken didn't taste like chicken. Gravy had no taste at all. I left almost all my meal. The sweet and sour dish had very little sauce . Far too many hard carrots.
I have used numerous times and like the curried dishes, last time I only remembered to ask for the first tub with no onions but all came with them anyway. Not even a little, giant chunks of onion to half fill the tubs, I had to put them in the bin and reorder and pay again. Lovely service most of the time but last time has put me off ordering from them again.
Order late night meal , Very delicious and delivery fast . Very friendly staff , best Chinese takeaway ever . Definitely will order again .
Lovely food and never bad service, Salt & pepper chip and dishes are soooooo nice. Highly recommend!
Absolutely disgusting paid for a Pearl's special chow mein and got a pot of noodles and dried up meat tastes absolutely awful have used pearl river for many years but never again I am worried that we are going to be ill all weekend. Sweet and sour sauce watery and the pancake roll tasted sour. So disappointed I wouldn't recommend anyone ordering from here as you will be wasting your money.
Grim. Never used Pearl River before and never will again. Worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Mostly bland and tasteless. Also ordered crispy chilli beef which was not crispy or chilli. The small portion of beef was really fatty. For me, inedible. Should have taken it back.
Absolutely disgusting meal. My husband just had chicken maryland and he couldn't even cut through it. If I could have contacted and shown them the meal I would have before sharing this. This place was one of our favourite eating spots but never again.
