Takumi never disappoints! The ramen was absolutely delicious and moorish! My friend has the pork katsu and she said the curry sauce was rich and the pork cooked to perfection!

I was craving sushi so badly on my birthday so we decided to have it here. Was the best decision! All of my friends really enjoyed the food and the staffs are amazing and friendly! Definitely going back if I return to Birmingham

Came with friends for lunch but they were pretty busy since it was a Saturday visit. Had to wait and book for 2 PM. We have friends who doesn’t eat any pork products. At that time, there was no option for non-pork base broth for ramen and had to order other like salmon teriyaki and gyu don. The hot pot was also not available so ended up just 3 of us with the tonkotsu ramen. Would recommend the ramen but hopefully, they can also consider halal ramen.

Highly recommend their tempura, very crunchy batter without feeling oily at all, quality on par with most local restaurants in Japan. Gyudon (beef rice bowl) was delicious, good cut of meat and good portion too. Dragon rolls were nicely presented however the taste was slightly lacking, maybe an extra ingredient is needed, I’ve had better dragon rolls at other places. We’ll come back again for their tempura for sure. (4 stars for the atmosphere because it felt quite dark (not in a good way) even when it was sunny outside.)

Had a great dinner at Takumi recently and definitely coming back. The sea urchin was a standout, fresh and buttery. Sakai had the ramen, the soup was thick and rich. service was super friendly and efficient. Overall, just a really solid spot with great food! It was also very affordable for what you got!!

Until now it is by far the best sushi restaurant in Birmingham and I’ve been to several sushi places here. The sushi are from high quality and have been made with care and passion. The service is really great and very kind. I would recommend to book online for having a table or otherwise you need to wait if it is full.

I went for my meal there whilst doing sodium-free diet. Was a good choice of restaurant. They helped me to shape my meals around my preferences. I would highly recommend raw scallops salad with some sort of cabbage. Find it in my pictures. Really nice choice of sushi and other usual food that Japanese restaurant can offer. A bit disappointed on drinks, tea, juice variety, not much to choose from. Place is clean, hygienic. All staff are friendly and smiley including busy chef. Waitress were very attentive which makes your experience even better. The toilets are very clean, smells lovely in there. So in general it is nice place to go for Japanese kitchen and would recommend it .

Nice place, very close to Birmingham New Street. I came on a Tuesday night and it was full! Couple behind me tried to get a tatami table but was turned down, so I recommend booking. I ordered pork tonkotsu noodles, a good serving size and plenty of toppings. Pricier than average. I would say it's probably a little on the salty size but otherwise can't fault it. Tea was refilled a couple of times on the night too. Would visit again, the fresh seafood looks so good.

One of the best Japanese restaurant in the uk :D love it! Nicely furnished and good quality of food! Went there on new year’s eve but no booking is needed luckily. We went straight in with no queue but when we sat down, people started to queue up outside the restaurant. So we are so lucky:D overall everything is great but the price is a bit high compared to other Japanese restaurants.
