   I’m a regular customer and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and especially the friendly staff. However, this time I was disappointed with my server Ana. She was incredibly disrespectful and kept pushing me to order a meal even though I already had a drink. She also insisted on leaving a review and even asked to see my phone so she could leave a five-star review herself. To top it off, I noticed her being rude to a colleague downstairs and even showing her the middle finger.

   Subject: Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behaviour at Chopstix (Clocktower Leicester) Hi, This is a heads-up regarding an awful customer service experience we just had at Chopstix near Clocktower, Leicester. We were a group of five people and purchased a Family Meal for £26.99. After making the payment, we decided to add one more box, which hadn’t been planned earlier. We politely asked a staff member named Praful if we could add it while we were still there, but he said no and told us to join the queue again. I rejoined the line as instructed, while the rest of the group went upstairs with the meal. The queue was long (around eight people ahead), and our food was getting cold. One of our group members mentioned this to the staff, saying, “Our food is getting cold; we asked you earlier if you could help us, and you rudely said no.” Following that, multiple staff members — Minkal, Talha, and Praful — raised their voices, behaved rudely, and even asked us to leave the store. They refused to serve us further, demanded we leave the food behind, and processed a refund instead. As someone who works in customer service myself, I found this behaviour completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The entire situation could have been handled calmly and respectfully — adding one extra box would have taken less than two minutes. Instead, the staff chose confrontation over courtesy, leading to wasted food and a lost customer. We are also from India, and it was disheartening to see such behaviour from fellow Asians. This kind of attitude reflects poorly not only on the individuals but also on the brand and its reputation. Respect and professionalism should always come first — especially when customers are being polite. I’ve attached the refund receipt and a photo of the returned food as evidence. I would appreciate it if this matter could be escalated and reviewed appropriately, to ensure that no other customer faces such treatment in the future. Looking forward to your response.    It was Saturday around 5 p.m. It was cold outside and we were hungry. My boy loves Chopstix, so we decided to pop in for a quick dinner. I appreciated how clearly they state that they only take card payments, and I was pleased to see they still had some of the katsu rice left. However, they don’t serve any hot drinks—only cold ones. I was already freezing! Never mind, there are plenty of cafés around… but honestly, a basic coffee machine in the corner would make such a difference. I promise I wouldn’t take any longer sitting there with a hot drink than I do with a cold one. We headed upstairs to find a table, as it was too chilly downstairs. Unfortunately, not a single table was clean. Understandable to a point—there were only three staff members working: one cooking, one serving, and one on the till. Still, for a Saturday evening in a busy city centre, it really felt like they needed more staff. Overall, the food was lovely—nothing extraordinary, but simply nice. The prices are a little steep, but given the location right in the city centre, I can imagine the rent must be high. Service was okay; the staff looked tired and rushed, but the girl on the till was very patient when I asked about hot drinks. She wasn’t rude at all—I’m grateful for that. She even offered alternatives, but I don’t drink anything sparkling, so my only option was a Fruit Shoot ☺️. The atmosphere, however, wasn’t pleasant. Dirty tables, empty containers, food pieces scattered around, red trays left everywhere—and of course, the cold didn’t help. A warm cup of coffee could have improved the whole experience a thousand times. While the food is nice, this isn’t a place we’ll consider again as a family, especially during winter. The lack of hot drinks and the clear understaffing affect not only the service but also the cleanliness and comfort of the space.

   Delicious food! And super quick! Go here when your in need so some good and quick (pretty healthy)food! Great customer service! Quite clean and has plenty of space with upstairs seating! It's also got a accessible downstairs area.

   I frequently go to Chopstix, whether it’s with friends or sometimes on my lunch break and I have never had a bad experience. In my opinion Chopstix could be the best asian restaurant in Leicester. It is clean with a lovely aesthetic and the food is 10/10. If you like Asian food (or maybe it’s not your favourite) I would definitely recommend as there is so much to choose from and the prices are very reasonable! The staff are very friendly here at Chopstix and they are very supportive if you need assistance with your choices. The reason why I have gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is in the very middle of Leicester City Centre which means that you could witness some trouble outside the restaurant during your visit. Overall Chopstix is a very quick and affordable place to nip into for a nice lunch and/or dinner. Would definitely recommend!

   It was my one of the favourite takeout. Even though the large box only fills half of the portion, it is not worth the money, and the noodles were too dry after cooking due to the lack of covering, and the rice was empty and there were two pieces of each add-on with the special spoon to serve it. As for the rest of the dishes, they were empty.

   Great location in the heart of the Leicester city centre, opposite the clock tower and McDonald's. Good size store with seating available. When I went I think the upstairs was closed for cleaning, but they still had seats downstairs. The staff were nice and friendly, providing a quick and efficient service. The food was good with all things considered, but could be better.

   Taste is alright but the portion size is a huge huge disappointment. Look at the additional topping and you can see the box is not filled fill. And apparently it's supposed to be a large topping. Also I ordered for a beef teriyaki box but I got less of that and more of the additional topping. And the size of rice is not even 1/4 of the box. Overall a great disappointed for Christmas holidays.
