Came here last night and it was the most wholesome authentic Italian food and such a good night I have had in a while! All the staff were so friendly and couldn't have done more for you. The pate was the best i've ever had (the butter was unreal!) I then had the 'al fungi pasta with added chicken which had so much flavour, they accommodated to my partner who wanted carbonara with chicken & garlic cheesy bread which wasn't on the menu and it was UNREAL - all of the food was so fresh& hot ! We had to wait a bit in which the owner was so apologetic for but I would rather wait an extra 15mins and my food come fresh and hot. Honestly couldn't recommend this place enough, my new favourite Italian with the BEST customer service I've received in a long time, it is so cheap for what you get also. Thankyou so much for a good night x

My daughter brought me here for a belated mother's day meal, and honestly, I couldn't be more pleased! Authentic Italian restaurant, with a warm and welcoming ambience, food served swiftly...and all I can say is wow! The lamb shank was the most tender and flavourful I've experienced to date. The vegetables were as fresh as if they were picked today and accompanied by the fluffiest roast potatoes ever. Owner Livio and his wife were more than hospitable ...I already cant wait to come again.

We have visited Livios today ( one local birthday lady, her spouse and the daughter from London) and we mostly enjoyed it. what could be potentially improved, in our humble opinion is: 1. Please do not make customers sit in the cold " naughty corner" for 30 minutes,it was uncomfortable and we really didnt know what to do. We were encouraged to order the wine from there , but surely if you book the table for 6, you would rather sit at the table? and start nibbling on the olives as soon as you arrive, not 30 mins after... 2. If you choose to place the customers in the pews ( naughty corner) area for 30 mins, at least tell them this is art gallery too! we only realised it at the very end. If we knew, we would have bought a picture, but we we never told . 3. If you only have 2- 3 tables booked, please do not try to squeeze them in the same corner, you surely can spread them out. It was so weird and uncomfortable sitting very close to another couple in an empty restaurant. 4.The food was good, no criticism there at all. when the fillet arrived raw, and was sent back, they cooked it to medium , as requested.Chichen liver starter is very very good. Overall, thank you the team , I enjoyed my birthday meal ( duck) ,but in terms of customer service , there is a room for improvement. In terms of cooking- great, just get the steak right!)) thank you, might visit again

We've been living in this part of the world now for over two years and have at last found a great Italian restaurant that will be our 'go-to' place. Run by Livio and his wife Enza (who does much of the proper Italian cooking, the restaurant is a hidden gem. Now only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday (you may need to book for Saturday). Nice wines and a well-stocked bar, it will not hreak the bank. We'll be back soon. We were back again this week and again had an excellent meal, paired with an exquisite Italian wine. Enjoyed ot so much, we have booked again for New Year to celebrate my wife's birthday.

Can this Gem of a place really be in the town of Shepshed?! You might think I have not been before, with that statement of astonishment. This Italian restaurant continues to amaze me since I last visited. It is a survivor of our past troubles, bouncing back, or should I say, ploughed through to provide an excellent welcome, service and delicious cuisine. An experience not to be missed. Book in advance, and expect it to be lively with large and small groups, as all will be well catered for. Good atmosphere, artwork all around and our group of 5 enjoyed every moment. Thank you to all the staff. Well done.

My partner and i are local to Shepshed and had been to Livios a few years ago It was very good then so we were delighted to find it still is. The food was excellent and served in casual warm atmosphere. We had drinks at the bar after and got to know a couple of other locals so all in all a really good night

Came here for my birthday in March. Amazing food. Very traditional Italian dining, nothing is rushed and everything is freshly cooked. There isn’t vegetarian on the menu but just ask and they have a vegetarian option available. Will definitely be back and recommend to all!
