“I purchased salmon sashimi to enjoy at home, and it was incredibly fresh and deliciously rich. The salmon sushi and tuna avocado sushi I had in-store were equally delightful. The bubble tea was excellent, and the egg waffle was tasty—though it could be even better if it were a bit crispier.”

“Absolute hidden gem! It’s so humble on the outside, but the food and the flavours are so good! It was so hard to decide what to get, because there’s so many delicious options. We started with the Tom Yum (a personal fav that was the most flavourful I’ve ever had, not too spicy and with juicy chicken) and fried prawns. Noodles soups for main, both with generous portions, wonderful broth once again and packed full of toppings. The pink milk drink was delightful too, sweet and moreish - just wish we’d noticed the mango sticky rice on the specials board for dessert, what a treat that would’ve been and no doubt as delicious as the rest. The service was smiley and very kind, quick and charming. Very lovely indeed! Will very much be back!”

“Stayed here a couple years ago and everytime I'm coming past the area I stop by either for some food or a massage. My stay was exceptional and the massages are always delivered with great quality. I'm pretty sure there is some magic in the cooks hands as the food is unreal. Will be passing by later today after what's seems like forever and for sure will stop off for something. “We had been for a day out and I had originally booked for my partner and our children for 3pm on the Sunday. My daughter has dairy and egg allergies, so rather than booking online, I decided to call to speak to someone regarding their procedures for my daughter's allergies. Luckily enough, I managed to speak to the manager, Bekki. I explained the situation regarding the above and before I could start asking questions, Bekki started telling me how they deal with this. Front of house know and inform the chef/kitchen and we also get a tablet with all the food and ingredients on it and you can put in your allergies/intolerances and it will tell you what is available. From start to finish, it was a very good system and put my mind at rest. I was very impressed. The only other large food establishment that is this thorough, that I've been to, is Hickory's. Anyway, we got there on Sunday (albeit an hour early!) and we were seated straight away. The lady that checked our booking, confirmed the allergies and gave us our tablet. We chose our food and our waitress also knew about the allergies and confirmed that she would double check with the kitchen with anything we ordered. We got our food (which was very nice by the way) and the waiter that bought my daughter's food even washed his hands before bringing it out, which shows complete dedication to me! There was only one gripe and that is, is that we did have to wait a while for our dessert's. From start to finish, I was very impressed with the way they handled everything with regards to my daughter's allergies. Very professional and they actually cared. Thank you very much.”

“Top food in Loughborough! Food was faultless. The Rucola pizza was lovely and can’t wait to try more from here! Small bites were great too, came with dips and full of flavour. Reasonably priced, and lovely staff. Quite a small restaurant so can get crowded however a lovely atmosphere when quiet.”

“This is probably my 25th visit to John's House and an annual pilgrimage I make each summer (as I do not live in the UK). Loved it, as always, a delight to see Pedro and his wine pairings shine brightly, classically, and with personality. Loved the food, with a nice mix of classic JH dishes and some new twists. LOVED the hogget dish, that hit a new high for me. I might have eaten 5-6 breads to mop up the sauces. Charming interaction with Gracie - she's one to watch in hospitality as she just has 'it' and thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks for another great night, see you again 3 weeks! Matt”

“My first visit with friends last night and i wasn’t disappointed. The staff were all lovely and helpful, with great banter with them which helped create a lovely atmosphere. The food was fantastic, I had the beef wellington starter and crab and prawn risotto, followed by the salted sponge and I can’t recommend enough. Good wine menu and the promesa Rioja reserva was superb. One of our group had the filet steak which I was lucky enough to try and it simply melted in the mouth ( will have this I think next time I come). Heard about the legendary Sunday dinners so will be back to try this as well.”

“I would say this is the most flavourful pizzas I’ve ever had in the Leicester LE4 area. I’ve lived here for almost seven years and have tried many pizza places, but none have been as satisfying as this one—I can’t wait to go back. Last week, I ordered from East Flames, choosing the Meat Feast and Chicken Supreme, both of which were fantastic and packed with flavour. I must say, the Meat Feast truly lived up to its name; it was loaded with meat and generous toppings. My kids loved the pizzas, which was quite a surprise since they’re usually not big fans of pizza around here. Additionally, the owner offered me some sample sauces to try, which paired wonderfully with the pizzas. The pricing is very reasonable, and I especially appreciated the 3 for £18 offer, which is a great value for money. The customer service was lovely—I felt genuinely valued during my visit. This will definitely be one of our regular spots!”

“Atmospheric and lovely for a cozy night out! Incredibly friendly staff and lovely ambient lighting. Servings were generous and packed with authentic variety of Asian dishes. My particular favourites were the beef hofun. Was packed full of freshness and will definitely be ordering again soon! Also great selection of bubble tea, perfect for sharing, the taro flavour was a perfect blend of sweet and floral. Would frites implore everyone to check this place out.”

“Firstly, I must point out that my partner and I did not dine at the Caravelli but stayed in the hotel however I did see and smell the food and it looked, delicious! We used this as a base for the night as I had to travel back to visit my father who had been very unwell. Whilst we were there, I found out that shortly after visiting him, he passed away… whilst trying to process everything that had happened, I popped downstairs for a drink to calm my mind and the front of house staff knew that I had received bad news. They were so kind and supportive towards me, I was most grateful and very touched. Our suite was beautiful, large, spacious and clean with tasteful decor. The bed was huge and very comfortable and it helped me to get the rest I so desperately needed. Thank you again so much. We will be back next year in different circumstances to stay and dine.. I have gone to a lot of places in the UK of which there is always something wrong. However, this place has it all. Food first rate, service fast and polite, super ambience. “Been going here for 30 years and was gutted when Mr Kadir said he was finishing. So glad that the new owners have kept the food the same and especially the chicken samosas as these are the best in Leicester and cannot be beaten.”

“We have visited the Rothley branch many times now, this is our favourite of all the Miller and Carter Restaurants that we have been to. The atmosphere is great, the food has always been excellent and the service perfect. As was our latest visit at the weekend. Our waiter was Santino, he has served us on many of our visits and in my opinion he is without doubt the best waiter you could ever have anywhere! His attentiveness and profesionalisim is second to none. Thankyou Santino and to all the team for such a great all round experience time after time!”
