We stayed last weekend at the Caravelli for one night. The hotel and restaurant are in a beautiful building in a great location for the town centre. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. Parking on site was available and our rooms were large, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We hadn’t booked the restaurant as didn’t realise how popular it was! Fortunately we managed to get a late table as we were guests at the hotel. The food and atmosphere were fabulous. The breakfast the next morning was a continental style which included fresh fruit and warm pastries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Firstly, I must point out that my partner and I did not dine at the Caravelli but stayed in the hotel however I did see and smell the food and it looked, delicious! We used this as a base for the night as I had to travel back to visit my father who had been very unwell. Whilst we were there, I found out that shortly after visiting him, he passed away… whilst trying to process everything that had happened, I popped downstairs for a drink to calm my mind and the front of house staff knew that I had received bad news. They were so kind and supportive towards me, I was most grateful and very touched. Our suite was beautiful, large, spacious and clean with tasteful decor. The bed was huge and very comfortable and it helped me to get the rest I so desperately needed. Thank you again so much. We will be back next year in different circumstances to stay and dine.. Best and kindest regards Tom

I stayed here for one night on business. I was greeted by a fabulous young man and no ask was too much for him. I was shown to my room, and even though it was an “economy” room in my terms, a little tlc would be needed. Blood on the bed sheet, hairs on the bed, maybe some frosted glass as you couldn’t get changed without the neighbours looking in. Couldn’t really fill the kettle. Everything seemed very cramped and dated. The restaurant I couldn’t fault. Busy for a Monday and the food was exceptional. Breakfast was ok, no interaction from the woman in the breakfast room to ask questions to. Unsure if it was continental or hot breakfast…the OJ did have an odd taste…so unsure what that was. Decent stay….would eat there again but not stay.

Amazing restaurant. Honestly, super nice food. Went to this restaurant several times in a row because it was so nice. Got tagliatelle with meat the first day which was quite nice. The staff is so kind and allowed us to make our own pasta as we wanted a more simple classic tomato and prawn pasta which was gladly accommodated. Very fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere- absolutely recommend! Note: make sure to book in advance as it’s really busy!

Our first visit here. Very attentive and friendly staff. We had three courses each, which we very rarely do, but didn't know what portion sizes would be. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. This was followed by an Italian Aperol Spritz, which was the best! We shall return.

The atmosphere was nice. Ordered carbonara pasta and the sauce had a quite weird and light texture and there was much oil. The pasta with salmon was not amazing either but much better than the carbonara. There might be better options!

Really friendly and helpful. I stayed and are dinner and breakfast there. Comfy room (bit hot but window opened and radiator was adjustable and a fan). Clean. Evening meal was lush.... I ate too much. Breakfast yummy. I felt welcomed and looked after which occurs less often at the moment imho. Really excellent customer service

Visited here to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. The food was fantastic! This was my first visit and it did not disappoint! I had Calamari to start, chicken main and biscotti cheesecake, I would recommend all - fantastic flavours! The staff were also friendly and extremely helpful. I’ll definitely visit again, hopefully soon!

So happy to have found this place. Lovely family owned restaurant serving authentic Italian food. The pistachio and ricotta cheesecake to finish was SO good. Would definitely go again

Absolutely amazing cozy restaurant and hotel in the heart of Loughborough. Staff is incredibly attentive with the customers and the place has amazing vibrant energy. You will not be disappointed. Also do yourself a favour and get the pistachio cheesecake. Thank me later and Bravo!
