“Update in Aug 2019 Been here quite a few times now and the food standard is still keeping it up and we almost tried the whole menu. Chinese Dim Sum still my favourite and the sashimi/sushi is also delicious, fresh and descent price. Staffs are friendly and they even kept my hoodie which I had left here 4-5 months ago :) ************************** previous review Decent food and very nice atmosphere... A lot to choose from but we mainly stick with dim sum that evening... friend staff and food was quick. Could be quite busy at night but there are plenty of seats and you could sit at the bar side too.”

“Stayed here a couple years ago and everytime I'm coming past the area I stop by either for some food or a massage. My stay was exceptional and the massages are always delivered with great quality. I'm pretty sure there is some magic in the cooks hands as the food is unreal. Will be passing by later today after what's seems like forever and for sure will stop off for something. “We had been for a day out and I had originally booked for my partner and our children for 3pm on the Sunday. My daughter has dairy and egg allergies, so rather than booking online, I decided to call to speak to someone regarding their procedures for my daughter's allergies. Luckily enough, I managed to speak to the manager, Bekki. I explained the situation regarding the above and before I could start asking questions, Bekki started telling me how they deal with this. Front of house know and inform the chef/kitchen and we also get a tablet with all the food and ingredients on it and you can put in your allergies/intolerances and it will tell you what is available. From start to finish, it was a very good system and put my mind at rest. I was very impressed. The only other large food establishment that is this thorough, that I've been to, is Hickory's. Anyway, we got there on Sunday (albeit an hour early!) and we were seated straight away. The lady that checked our booking, confirmed the allergies and gave us our tablet. We chose our food and our waitress also knew about the allergies and confirmed that she would double check with the kitchen with anything we ordered. We got our food (which was very nice by the way) and the waiter that bought my daughter's food even washed his hands before bringing it out, which shows complete dedication to me! There was only one gripe and that is, is that we did have to wait a while for our dessert's. From start to finish, I was very impressed with the way they handled everything with regards to my daughter's allergies. Very professional and they actually cared. Thank you very much.”

“If you have yet to visit browns lane in Loughborough I personally advise you do. Lewis the new owner is a very charismatic man, runs his resturant with a very personal and professional approach, our waitress was mya she was very friendly and knowledgeable the food was incredible and served very quickly, starter we had spicy King prawns, mains was steak med rare and belly pork, desert was raspberry compot and chocolate fudge dome, the starter was fresh light and very delicious not overly spicy, the steak was cooked to perfection and the chips are a game changer, the belly pork I have never in my life had such an explosion of flavour from the melt in the mouth meat and the roasted veg was lovely, both deserts where fantastic the chocolate dome melted away as Lewis poured the toffee over the top (sorry no pictures of this) the compot was lovely and fluffy and the home made short bread was just perfection, the house merlo was beautiful ended up having 3 glasses and although there is no cocktail menu yet they did provide cocktails on request and both we tried where brilliant, a must visit if you like alle cart food.”

Whenever me and the 3 boys have visited Champs, staff are always welcoming and friendly when we go, always have a positive attitude when severing food or drinks never once had a bad time there! “Absolutely incredible lunch today. A really superb place to eat, faultless in every way it's a long time since I have been able to say that about any UK restaurants. I have gone to a lot of places in the UK of which there is always something wrong. However, this place has it all. Food first rate, service fast and polite, super ambience. All parts of each dish are perfectly executed. It may look simple but the love and care in the kitchen is clear in the taste of the food. I am so impressed I will be returning again. “We have visited the Rothley branch many times now, this is our favourite of all the Miller and Carter Restaurants that we have been to. The atmosphere is great, the food has always been excellent and the service perfect. As was our latest visit at the weekend. Our waiter was Santino, he has served us on many of our visits and in my opinion he is without doubt the best waiter you could ever have anywhere! His attentiveness and profesionalisim is second to none. Thankyou Santino and to all the team for such a great all round experience time after time!”

“Had our wedding reception in the function room. Perfect for a relaxed wedding reception. Outside seating area and bifold doors are a bonus especially on a hot day! All staff really friendly and helpful.”

“We had a friend say how nice it was here, so we had to come and try it? WOW, fantastic pub with great outside space. The food was top-notch (see pics) staff very friendly. the decor in side was very unique. Also do quiz nights and live music. We will definitely be returning to try the Sunday lunch.”

“The staff were absolutely wonderful, all of them. Our room was lovely, bed very comfortable, Everywhere was very clean. Menu i must admit was a little disappointing but didn't present too much of a problem. We also took our cat who settled in very quickly!All the staff made a big fuss of him. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be using this staying here again next visit.”

“We had our Christmas Dinner at Ring O Bells, where over 30 people attended. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and helpful and really made it an enjoyable evening. They even put on karaoke for us to make it a fun night. We were all allowed to use our 20% student discount too which made it very affordable for us. I would definitely recommend Ring O Bells if you want to hold an event or just for a lovely pub meal with friends and family.”

“Brilliant evening at Maxwells Loughborough. From booking to our meal, our host Keiron was so pleasant and helpful. We all agreed our meals were delicious, hot and well presented. The steaks were so tender. A large choice on the menu. Thank you to Kyle their chef. Excellent service from all your staff. We would highly recommend Maxwells. We were a table of 13 on a busy evening for them. We'll be back.”

“Amazing night, drinks reasonably priced, security and bar staff really friendly, overall a great atmosphere, definitely recommend to all those that havent been before you'll be pleasantly surprised! Only downsides are that its mainly geared towards students and its open only during term times.”
