Had our wedding reception in the function room. Perfect for a relaxed wedding reception. Outside seating area and bifold doors are a bonus especially on a hot day! All staff really friendly and helpful.
Danny and his staff were brilliant at looking after all of us at my friend's wedding in the function room. They even let us store ice creams in the pub freezer as it were a hot sunny day which was a bonus. Thanks a lot Danny to you, your wife and staff making us all feel welcomed and looking after the bride and groom as well as their guests to have a wonderful fun evening.
We recently had our wedding celebration at The Horse & Trumpet and from the moment we got back to the pub after our ceremony, throughout the wedding breakfast and reception, we and our whole wedding party were looking after incredibly well. The layout of the pub and the various rooms meant people could choose a quieter spot if they wanted, or those who wanted to listen to the music and have dance could also do just that. Danny and Charlene went above and beyond in every way possible and we can’t thank them and their amazing team enough. Thank you for making our wedding just perfect, we wouldn’t have changed a single thing!
Nice typical English pub. Very good atmosphere and very cosy. Nice outdoor space. Not a lot of draft beers tho but absolutely not expensive
Had my daughter’s 16th party in the function room. Great venue & space. It was a really hot day & the bifold doors at the back open out to a lovely patio area which they are happy to rope off for the sole use of party guests (picture attached). The couple who run the pub could not be more helpful. Great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Love this place! Note: cannot rate the food as they don’t do food, however there are regular pop up food stands advertised on their social media and they do amazing cobs Fri & Saturday. We brought our own buffet food.
Great pub lovely bar staff ' guiness really expensive compared to other beers for some strange reason but other than that all good
Nice pub with a friendly bunch of staff, beer is not my favourite but personal opinion only
Good well kept ales.. Charnwood brewery selection and good ciders too including a strong Perry pear cider.. place can be a bit chilly in the rooms without the fire, so maybe they'll start using the other fireplace too.
We booked the good-sized function room for a birthday party for 50 people. Charlene and the team were really helpful and we had a really good evening. The pub doesn’t supply food and the pub were helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for our catering. Thanks team! Keep up the good work xx
