This was once a beautiful English pub. The car park is a dump with abandoned cars and lots of detritus. They run a parking scam - do not visit this place! Stay away. Just read the other reviews on Google.

The carpark has a sign stating it is for the use by customers so we drove into the carpark.. big mistake . Although a webpage showed the pub as open it wasn't. Between rodent traps, scrap vehicles and ultimately a parking fine I would advise anyone considering driving and possibly eating at this pub to go elsewhere. They don't need to open at lunchtime because the takings are from fines, £60 made without even turning the cooker on!

Avoid at all costs. The pub is running a parking fine racket. I entered my registration number in as soon as I got inside and still got fined. Threats of inflated costs when challenged. They are obscenely rude to customers delivering expletives in front of their children. They don’t deserve a loyalty from their locals the way they have treated them. Hopefully they will go out of business quickly so they can be replaced by decent owners.

It was quiet when I popped in, but I had got there just after opening! Been recently refurbished and is nice inside. Only does food on certain days, apparently, so it's worth ringing up to find out any details. It's quite popular amongst the locals, though apparently. Hidden well off the beaten track, but it's worth popping in if you can find it. Very quaint with the brook at the front! You'll have to keep a close eye on your kids, though, if you have younger ones and you're sitting at the front. Staff we're polite and welcoming.

Staff were great, great value beer. Crisps are amazing. Right by a little Brook which is lovely to sit near in the sun. Would definitely go again.
