From the initial phone call tonight we knew this was going to be great. Very welcoming and friendly owners, superb polite staff and excellent quality food a good prices. And adding to it excellent real ale. Completely recommend this pub. Brilliant.
We went, with another couple, for Sunday lunch yesterday. Very nice pub and atmosphere. The food was excellent. The roast meats were lovely and tender. Loads of veg, yorkshires and plenty of it. We had one person who could not eat such a large meal so perhaps they could have smaller portions on the menu as an option.. The young lady who served us was very nice. We would definitely recommend this village pub.
Visited on Friday evening , as we were staying nearby , the service was great. huge portions of food , good quality and tasty! Must also mention that the chef was so lovely! He Came out afterwards and was smiley friendly! Would recommend :)
Typical local. Great crowd. Staff were all so friendly. Food wasn’t bad at all. Just pub grub but 2 empty plates!!
Absolutely loved this pub. The owners are very dog friendly and made a fuss of our dog. We had a table with a bowl of water for her and biscuits. The food was fabulous, hot, tasty and lots of it. I recommend the Sunday lunch.
Sunday lunch was nice food but not very good service. Main meal was out quickly but waited an hour before we had to get up and ask a member of staff for the desert menu
Absolutely love the Carpenters, food is excellent, service is excellent and the atmosphere is wonderful. Would highly recommend it. Last time we went it was for a family meal and there were 12 of us and we had a great time. Thank you.
Really nice pub. Our first time visit. Excellent service. Food great and didn't wait long. The servers were friendly? Will visit again.
Really nice pub. Great place. Charming decor, lovely outdoors take a look. A word to the wise, have the 700 year old German beer.
