What a lovely little place this is. I’m not a fan of Italian food, but my friends are. I was able to book last minute and with it being so close to Christmas, I was extremely grateful. Well, I’ve been won over. The food was delicious, staff were friendly and funny. I will certainly be booking again in the future!
We booked this family run, Italian restaurant for a birthday treat, and then, coincidentally, were recommended it. It is small but perfect. The range of food is impressive and the quality outstanding. The service was good without being overbearng and the prices very reasonable. The servings were just right. Just the most perfect birthday meal.
Oh, La Trattoria Da Vincenzo! — I must record my impressions before the last taste fades and the memory settles too gently into nostalgia, for never have I encountered a little corner of Italy so full of life and warmth, even amidst the steady drizzle of an English evening. From the instant I crossed its modest threshold, I felt as though I had stumbled into someone’s home — not a restaurant, but a gathering of dear friends who simply happened to be excellent cooks. The light fell softly through the glass, warm and golden, casting a cheerful glow over the tables, each adorned with just enough elegance to suggest refinement, yet never the stiffness that often mars such places.
Amazing Italian restaurant! It's easily one of the best I've tried in the UK. The chef is Italian and the quality is what you could expect from a good Italian restaurant in Italy. Highly recommended.
Wonderful. Friendly welcome. Sat outside for lunch and a bottle of wine. Absolutely delicious. Our first visit and certainly won't be the last.
Do not be put off by the appearance of this restaurant (it looks like someone's house) the food is absolutely excellent! Authentic Italian cuisine at its best! We had a starter and main in the cozy garden with a great atmosphere, very welcoming and attentive staff and overall a truly enjoyable experience.
Working in Lincoln for 3 months and living out of a hotel every week, I needed a regular place to eat. I have tried a lot however, I have now completed me here 4 times on the bounce. Working through the menu. Which there is a lot of authentic Puglia food and wine. Seriously good food cooked fresh pasta. Can't say what my favourite is as they have all been superb. Table service is excellent and attentive. Recommendations are made when not sure what to have. Please, please, please book your table here, a must for locals and tourists.
The best Italian restaurant and the best Italian food I like in UK!!!!! They are so welcoming and warm. A very lovely place to go. Any dishes with Chicken is great! The pizza is nice and fresh. Pasta amazing too!!!! Hope to come next time!!
When looking for somewhere for a nice meal, I had a good feeling about this place. And I was right! Should have booked but they had a spare table. Complimentary appetiser was unexpected, and lovely. Had mains and dessert. Sensational, plate lickingly good food. True Italian food, by Italians. There were even Italians coming in to eat - a sign of a great restaurant indeed
