2nd visit since the restaurant was taken over, fabulous food, every dish is individual with unique flavours. Best onion bhaji ever, light, crispy and not greasy. Great customer service throughout. Highly recommended, we will be regular customers for sure.
Amazing as always. We always forget to book but we are made welcome and a table found with minimal wait. The food is amazing but tonight I had the sea bass. I never thought to order fish in an Indian restaurant but it was amazing, paneer starter is my absolute favourite and my husbands garlic chicken was beautiful. Pop in you won’t be disappointed
A fantastic curry. We arrived early on a Thursday, we were the only people there, I did wonder if we had made the right decision. Well I can tell you the food was magnificent, superb flavours well cooked and presented. By the time we had finished the restaurant was packed, not a spare table, for a Thursday night to be this busy it must be good, the locals clearly know this is the curry house to go to. What a find. Highly recommend. Yes it was a little quiet and it was a Sunday , but i do think it'll be quiet for long. Friendly staff in a pleasant atmosphere. Went with the recommendation of The lamb chop starter which was so tender and delicious. Then the Shan Shahid dish and was not disappointed. A rich thick sauce with plenty of flavour, wrapped around good size pieces of chicken and Lamb. A good sized portion. Find it first and you be the one to tell your friends about it...
Five of us had a really delicious take away from Alam’s Lounge last night. We tried lots of different dishes and sides and all were generous, tasty and home made. The owner and staff could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend.
Foods are always Fresh, Big portion and Tasty. Best Restaurant in Barnsley. we have tried different places in Barnsley but always let us down. If you’re hungry expecting big portion of food which is best value of Money Then Alam’s Lounge for you.
The customer service is pathetic. I called them for ordering and asked what’s best they serve however the owner himself was on the call and sounded so rude. He reverted saying that all dished are good, you need to tell me quickly what do you want to order, we are very busy. It sounded as if he wasn’t even interested in suggesting or talking to the customer for taking the order. Its been twice that I have faced rude behaviour issue with this restaurant, forget about the food , at first instance only these people ruin your mood.
Loved our visit to Alums Lounge! The food was superb, very friendly service, wish I lived closer! Anyone thinking about visiting... do it... you won't be disappointed!!
