I was stopping in the area for work so went into Millers bar with no idea what to expect. Initially I was not sure as I walked towards Millers bar as it didn't look to inviting from the other side of the road but as soon as I stepped through the door I was impressed. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable so lovely beer in hand I wandered to the outside seating area by a lovely canal which was fab. Enjoying myself so much I decided to eat there, the menu was not extensive but in my experience this normally meant what the do they do well so chose the 'Famous Miller Steak pie mushy peas & chips wow!!!!!! I could see why it was famous as it was amazing and the little jug of tasty gravy made the pie experience A1 and the whole meal was perfectly presented. This place is a must if you live here or are visiting its a visitor attraction not to be missed.

Great service, really welcoming. Good food, I ate outside and it was nice and peaceful by the canal. The beer garden is huge, with what looks like extended bars (they are open mainly in the summer) also have a cocktail bar upstairs. A real gem of a place. The fries were to die for and the burger was so juicy and fresh. I would certainly dine here again.

Always wanted to try food in so today brought the parents along to try out the food so on food thoughts waiting time was was fine service was very professional plus friendly also the food was a delicious very tasty plus very filling my parents had the burgers which looked very well presented and from what they said very tasty . The price for 3 meals plus drinks just under Β£50 which you definitely canβt go wrong with but you can taste the difference between a spoons meal and a very well cooked meal . Definitely will call back and try something else

If Morecambe and Wise did Sunday lunch (ask your Mum and Dad). Starting with the positives, we arrived early for a table booked at 5.30pm, told it would be ready soon we noticed a couple of people being kicked off a table at the other side of the bar (they didn't look happy). However we were led to the table about ten past. The rest of our party arrived by about 20 past. We sat the the table with 5 menus, there was 6 of us but who's counting, until about 5.40pm. We did wonder if you ordered at the bar but I'd seen the displaced couple order at the table. Eventually a waitress came, things started well but of the 7, maybe 8 at most items on the menu, 2 were sold out. We eventually found something for everyone that they had in stock and ordered. The starters arrived, well 5 of the 6 did and then the staff moved on to another table - it was clear one was missed. Thankfully it was a cold dish, a parfait so they could pretent it was just running late. The starters were OK, but the detail was poor. One of the belly pork dishes had a wedge of lime, the others didn't. The bread had no butter and the parfait lacked any Chutney or similar. When the mains arrived they were all there so that's good. The belly pork dinner was slow cooked until it barely resembled meat and was literally falling apart. The beef dinners were OK, but it was chewy. On the other hand the cauliflower was rock hard. I'm not one of those who think veg should be over cooked, this was raw. The burgers were average at best, the meat didn't taste great. I ordered a round of drinks at the table, I should really have got of my backside but I explained the beer I wanted was the pale ale next to the Farmers blonde. When it arrived it was the colour of chocolate, not a pale ale in anybody's book. On the menu there was a reference to 'proper gravy' it's just a shame they only put about 3 tablespoons on your plate. At Β£153 for 6 people with some drinks included it wasn't massively expensive but the overall experience was poor. It felt like it could have been a really good meal, with good drinks and at sensible money - it failed on most counts. I'd stay away and find somewhere else for dinner.

Half way stop on our walk yesterday for a drink and some food. Staff were really friendly and the place was, as always, clean and welcoming. Food was delicious and we didn't wait too long despite it being busy. My only criticism is I had to ask for another drink 3 times before going to the bar and getting it. But, they were busy so this can be forgiven. Can't wait for the warmer weather so I can go back to enjoying the brilliant beer garden.

First visit and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a dog that was welcomed. We ate in the beer garden overlooking the canal, you could be forgiven for feeling somewhere abroad on a nice summer day. The food was tasty and plenty. They were a touch understaffed, but worked hard to make sure everyone was served. Service with a smile too.

Food here was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. Bar appeared well stocked with a decent choice. Can really recommend the Sunday roast which was great value. The indoor downstairs bar/restaurant is also dog friendly which is always a nice bonus.
