   On the whole a really good experience. Fabulous decor, fantastic food, Turkey dinner, Steak pie and Bacon steak meals, all were really good. Only slight gripe which all three of us picked up on was that we had to ask at the bar for further drinks. It would have been nice to have been served at the table. It won’t deter us from visiting again very soon. We’ll recommend.

   Visited here tonight with some work friends for a Christmas meal - haven't been in the pub for a few years but impressed with the renovations. We all ate from the Christmas menu - the food was fantastic with all 3 courses. Tables around us were eating from the normal menu and what they had looked delicious. Great service from staff too. Thank you!

   What a fantastic pub/restaurant.... Called on the off chance to get a sandwich & chips but ended up having the best Sunday lunch ever..... Warm places.....Braised Belly Pork & Steak pie was excellent. Vegetables were cooked perfectly for us. Had no room for pudding but my god I'll make room for one next time. Compliments to the chef & all the staff. We will be back asap... Thank you

   I almost feel like it want to gate keep this to guarantee availability for future reservations but that’s not helpful for what I hope to be a very successful local business. It was fantastic!!! The newly refurbished White gate in Mirfield. We called in on Saturday for a quick drink and the refurbishment is looks amazing. Lovely decor, warm and friendly welcome. Very impressed. We made a reservation for the following day in the restaurant. We all opted for the Sunday roast. 2 adults, 2 children. The children opted for roast chicken - which was delicious. My husband and I both went for the beef with sides of pigs in blankets. The food was perfect with generous fresh vegetables, roast and mash potatoes. The staff were polite and friendly and very attentive despite being very busy. Ash and his team are knocking it out of the park with their great service and the new look just complements their service. We all opted for the Sunday roast but the menu offers lots of alternatives. Looking forward to our next visit.

   Called on Thursday around 5.15, very friendly and excellent service. Food was hot and tasty. I hadn't had liver and onions for years and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am told the burger with salad, coleslaw and fries was good, it certainly looked the part. Will be returning soon on a lunchtime.

   Been once before and had a great experience with great food and service. Took my family today and was so pleased, I felt I had to leave a review. Fabulous food, plenty of it and served in ample time. One server today who was absolutely relaxed, busy, friendly and pretty blooming brilliant! Great experience and we all left very happy.

   Went for lunch today after reading some positive reviews. Has been years since we have been as the food was previously mediocre at best. However I believe it has new owners and the food was lovely! I had Quorn cottage pie and my husband chilli, and both portions were huge and really tasty. Good value for money and we will be back.

   A lovely pub. Amazing staff, delicious and reasonably priced food. We had liver and onions and Chile con carne, I only wish there would be a larger selection of real ales. There's always a blonde and a bitter on which is nice though. Highly recommended for a bite to eat and a drink while in the area!
