Had a nice meal, ordered mixed grill, they had run out of sausages so they asked if I would like extra gammon which I had but it was very salty, no fried egg? Anyway it was ok just missing sausage, a lamb chop maybe and deffo eggs.

Came this afternoon (Thursday) for a drink and food. Very impressed. Summary, get yourself here! The lady serving was really nice and delivered a great customer service, drinks on draught had some money off which she told us about which was an added bonus. Service was quick and drinks reasonably priced. Went back to order food and nothing was too much trouble, explained everything to me and happy to make any amends to order if needed. Went for the fried Brie to start. Then lasagne with chunky chips & the Cajun chicken burger with fries. Both tasted freshly made and VERY hot. Really enjoyable meal and served in a reasonable amount of time, again we were sat outside in the sun and it wasn't a problem the lady bringing the food out, she even came to check once during the starter and once during mains if everything was ok! Going out of her way to deliver a fab service. Will be back and would recommend giving here a go!

We visited for the lunch menu and we will definitely be back again! The service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! It's lovely to have a pub doing a roast dinner midweek that isn't a carvery. Lovely pub, beautiful location and fab food! Thank you!

The food was amazing, we couldn't fault it, portion sizes were generous. I was hoping to try something from their dessert menu but no room, after a starter of scallops and a main of beef cheek. Compliments to the chef !! The furniture though is tired which was the only thing that let our visit down. Just some chair covers would improve the rooms. Otherwise a fabulous visit .

Fantastic portions and great quality food! Grey Ox Inn is a very cosy and hidden away Pub/Restaurant. The atmosphere here was calm, relaxed (Tue evening) and felt very welcoming. There is a great Ox head mounted in the entrance and the decor is country style with exposed beams and tweed furnishings. Plenty of parking (30+ spaces) The staff were attentive, although it seemed we changed waiters a few times. Gave enough time and were helpful to accommodate requests without issue. The cocktails pictured tasted great, no complaints to quality or taste. The mains we had (sirloin steaks medium rare) were a good portion and came with ample accompaniments.(Hand cut chunky chips, onion rings, rocket salad with honey mustard dressing, mushroom & grilled tomato) One of our steaks was a little too rare in the middle, but it was still good so felt it did not need returning. Blue cheese sauce was great. My partner loved it, i felt a dash of cornstarch to thicken it slightly would have completed it for me. The garlic butter sauce was great. The desert again was great, creme brûlée with a chocolate shortbread slice. No complaints here. Would return again, perfect for a Sunday or quiet mid week evening getaway meal.

A lovely pub in a rural setting. The bar has an extensive selection of spirits and a good wine choice. The food is of great quality and prides itself on locally sourced ingredients. The young staff are always friendly and extremely courteous. Highly recommend this place.

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime. Boots and dogs welcome. We just had a pot of tea and a starter each. All good, with friendly service and an open fire!
