“Sushi Nakamura delivers outstanding sushi with Japanese authenticity that is rarely found outside of London. The fish is meticulously chosen based on seasonality and freshness. His homemade ginger is also amongst the best thats available in Japanese restaurants in the UK. Service is impeccable, as you would expect from Japanese hospitality. The sushi chef is friendly and funny, and the automated Japanese toilet is a fun bonus. Highly recommended for sushi enthusiasts!”
“Great meal, food quality was amazing and the staff were great. So attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Eleazar was our server and he recommended the food we chose and even the wine. He helped make the night perfect as we celebrated our anniversary”
“Thank you so much to Alan at Leeds PizzaPunks! Efficient and very kind. Brought us a free dessert too to celebrate my boyfriend passing his driving test. Would definitely recommend! Thanks so much Alan.”
“Beautiful food that is prepared and presented with great care! So tasty, atmosphere felt authentic, and service was attentive without being overbearing. We were sat at the bar facing the chef so could watch the sushi being prepared, which was very cool to watch! It was also really affordable - myself and two friends paid £13 each for three dishes, and were kindly given many cups of free green tea. Unsure why Google suggests a meal would cost £100+ because it is much, much cheaper!!”
“I have been coming to yummy sushi bar for a VERY long time now and though I have done many posts on Instagram about the food and location I have never done a Google one.. (To stress I have been a regular since the location opened back in 2018) Let me just say this is THE best place for sushi and Japanese inspired small plates in Leeds hands down Everything is made fresh Infront of you out of a wide varied menu of both hot and cold dishes, There are selections for vegetarians and I do believe vegan options are also available should it be mentioned before ordering Each dish is neatly presented and plated to a high standard and the owner and chef is proud to talk you through where he sources ingredients and how he creates them. Pricing is very adequate and is a lot cheaper than your big chain sushi locations (no names mentioned) and honestly you are not losing any quality or taste for the smaller charge. If you are looking for Japanese food or are a sushi lover I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping by Leeds market to come and visit and I assure you, you will leave impressed!”
“We came for our son’s 21st birthday and had a great time! It was our first visit, but won’t be the last. We ordered drinks at the bar before being taken to our table. Then the waiting staff showed us a tablet to order our food/drinks from. There were so many items to choose from, but sashimi wasn’t available on the lunchtime menu. We proceeded to choose our dishes and the food came pretty quickly! They were fresh and hot. The sushi dishes were nicely presented. You get to choose a limited number of dishes, then wait for these to arrive. Then you can choose again. The ordering closes half an hour before your table is up. We had 1.5 hours of eating time. The ambience was nice with good background music. We would definitely return again!”
“We had a lovely family lunch at Suki Leeds. The food was delicious and freshly made. We ordered a good range of dishes from sushi, bento to chicken katsu, takoyaki and steamed edemame. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was lovely and fast and we felt very welcomed. We’ll definitely dine at Suki again! Thank you for having us. ♥️”
“Love Rudys! Pizza was amazing as always, fresh and tasty. It was incredibly busy so service was a little slow and it took a while to order desserts and more drinks but when we did get served they were so lovely.”
“One of the best pizza places I've been to in the UK, much above Domino's or Pizza Hut! Interior has a relaxed feel and menus are given right away, seating is comfortable too. Had their pizza with anchovies, tomatoes, mozzarella, capers, garlic and oregano these toppings were fresh and just the right combo of tomato sauce with cheese!”
“Quick and clean street food. My friend had the tofu bahn mee and I had these 5 spice chicken loaded chips with siracha mayo. Plenty going on in the open section of Leeds Market. Proper street food atmosphere”
“This was a second visit to an Ivy Asia, I went to St Paul’s London and that was a great experience. Ivy Asia Leeds was a really lovely experience also, great for a special meal, I booked it for a 60th Birthday. Service, food and decor is first class. It is definitely worth a visit and fabulous surprise for a family celebration.”
“love this place!! great portions, good price and amazing quality! :))”
“My family and I shared a lovely meal together here. We all have specific dietary requirements (I'm vegan and my Dad's celiac etc), and the staff were very accommodating and good humoured. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs, including checking fryers and providing gluten-free soy sauce. Wonderful food and fantastic service, we'll be back.”
“Amazing food . Variety of options for sushi lovers . Friendly and helpful staff . Must try this sushi in Asda . Highly recommended”
“We had a lovely experience when we all came out for a new year’s meal as a family. The food was lovely and Joe was wonderful, he checked in with us regularly, was polite and attentive. You have a great member of staff there. A fab experience, we will definitely return.”
“If you're hungry and in Leeds' downtown and want something satisfying, flavourful, and in a reasonable portion that's not fancy but also not quick food, you've come to the correct place! The store is lovely to be in and has a clean, organised feel. Employees are polite and helpful. Meals: A perfect ten. It's all perfect—the chicken and rice! Mokii: the pink ones in particular are like nothing from heaven! Costs: affordable for anyone!”
“Amazing staff and atmosphere. Will be coming again, but I would recommend reserving if you plan on coming during peak times! 5/5 stars definitely earned”
“Come here often for food on a lunch and it is the best place of its kind in LS1! Super friendly staff, Rey and the team are always happy to help and make sure all orders are to a top standard. Recently made a large order for the team on a lunch and Rey made sure it was all ready on time and all items were fresh!”
“We visit Wagamama regularly and the food never disappoints! The service seemed quite slow at this restaurant, however we had a waitress with long dark hair (didn’t catch her name!) and she was amazing!”
“Come here near enough once a week and always amazing food, amazing staff and such an inviting atmosphere. Was served by Ellie today who was beyond kind hearted, lovely and welcoming. Really reminded us that there's faith in humanity and kind people in this world. Will be returning to this place until we are old and grey! :)”
“Abolutely amazing experience! I choose this restaurant for a date night with my wife and i wasn't disappointed at all. I have horrible memory for names but i believe Ramon made our night unforgettable. Food was really amazing and service was on absolutely top level, all recommendations was delicious. We will come back definately for tacos and cheesecake, they stole our hearts! Wow!”
“My partner and I fancied a late night Thai takeaway and didn’t expect to find anything open, let alone of decent quality. We were so wrong! The service was fast, the curries were absolutely delicious, and they even kindly threw in an extra rice and prawn crackers. The food was all so fresh and the king prawns are to die for. Definitely found our new local. 10/10 :)”
“The restaurant is amazing. The staff are amazing. Hannah is a really amazing hostess. She was pleasant, very professional, kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend Zizzi Birstall to anyone. Thanks again to Hannah for being a great hostess.”
“If you want an Italian style fresh pizza this is the place to be..fresh dough, fresh sauce and ample topping...they never fail even on offers”

“These guys are awesome, so friendly and generous when I go with my family, food taste amazing I can't get enough of the sweets chilli chicken and kimchi rice. Go every time I'm in Leeds and the sushi is great especially when they make it fresh”
“For £35 all in for a vegan sushi platter and the Tokyo street food platter my partner and I were extremely satisfied with the amount of food and the quality. Such good sushi and I can't wait to order again.”
“I had a fantastic experience at Almost Famous in Leeds. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the visually appealing, urban-style decor that created an inviting atmosphere. What immediately stood out was the food. The burgers are a celebration of flavour, with juicy patties and perfectly balanced toppings that create a harmony of taste. Each bite was an absolute joy. The fries were another delightful surprise. Crisp, golden, and seasoned just right, they were the perfect accompaniment to the burgers. The cocktails deserve a special mention. Creative, beautifully presented, and packing a punch, they added a touch of sophistication to our dining experience. The taste was sublime, indicating a real talent behind the bar. However, I must say, the service could have been a tad faster. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, the waiting time for the food was a bit more than anticipated. I'd recommend having a bit of patience when you visit, but I assure you, the food is worth the wait. Later in the evening, the music volume increased, which made conversation a little challenging. But if you're a fan of lively atmospheres, this might actually add to your experience. In conclusion, Almost Famous delivers a deliciously memorable culinary experience, albeit with a slightly slow service and loud music. But, if you're up for excellent burgers, tasty fries, and outstanding cocktails, you should certainly give it a try!”
