Pre booked a table for 3 people Sunday 12th October when the waitress asked what we wanted we said 2 starters 2 lamb and 1 beef dinner to be told we have no lamb then to be told we have no beef only pork. Pork would have been our last choice however that was all that was available. Why weren't we told on arrival. Admittingley we could have had pie sausage or another meal. But we wanted a sunday roast. We bought my dad for his birthday to one of his favourite pubs. Also no Guinness available only 0% alcohol. We were disappointed to say the least. My dad doesn't get out much and was looking forward to this meal. However we all ate something that wasn't our choice it was the only thing available. Maybe you should inform people on arrival that the menu is limited. This isn't the first time this has happened on a Sunday but we gave you the benefit of the doubt. Sadly you let us down again

Had a christening buffet in the function room today and I’m not from the area but I have to say it was one of the best buffets I have had and the staff were amazing. Thank you so much for making our special family day even more perfect. Please pay them a visit the Sunday roast looked amazing. Definitely visit again when visiting family.

A group of 11 of us ate there 2 days ago. The food was lovely all of the hot meals arrived together no waiting. The attention and service from all members of the team was fantastic. The pub was cosy and welcoming. I certainly recommend for food, drinks and friendly staff.

Our visit was a last minute booking (3 days notice actually) for 19 players from a Brass Band! 2 of our longstanding players were leaving and we were able to book in for 12 noon. We had the upstairs room to ourselves for sometime. The rest of the restaurant was busy. Service was prompt and efficient with the staff checking back on our orders. Portion sizes were good and the cost of my 2 course meal represented value for money. All staff were friendly and helpful - thank you.

The staff are great here trying to cope with post lockdown busy times. We had to wait about 30mins for evening meal (6pm) but portions were good and food tasty. Reasonable price for food £7.25 for steak pie and chips , £11 for a double burger, £9.50 for special scampi and chips. Drinks £3.80 a pint for Greene King IPA which I thought was a bit steep for house beer.
