“Highly reccomended... I needed someone to look after my dog whilst we went away, my dog is nervous around other dogs and I was a little worried if she would be fine.. tori and the team assured me that she would be fine and I couldn't have asked for a better service, she was made welcome and at home from the minute we pulled up outside. It is like a holiday camp for the dogs. It really is a home from home service as the dogs are like a little family there. Couldn't reccomend enough 5☆”

“Fantastic "local" pub, nice rooms, excellent beers and a really decent pint of Guinness. Staff and locals very friendly and welcoming. Nice beer garden with plenty of seating. No frills, quirky, full of conversation......... definitely my sort of pub.”

“Hidden little gem. Room that we had was clean modern and fresh with a good smart TV and even thermostat control for heating. Check in was easy through the link to collect the keys. Tea and coffee, extra comfortable bed and pillows. Really nice place I have stopped in many many rooms and this is up there with the best of them for comfort and safety. Also has its own private secure car park.”

“A group trip up for a taekwondo competition and we had a fantastic host in Katy at the restaurant, Katy went above and beyond over the two nights we stayed including after a trip to a and e that she made my kids feel safe and secured while we was away. Food was great and quick service. Beds comfortable as always 5* all round”

“The staff here are fantastic. After a rather trying journey up from Kent Jess and James were so friendly and helpful when we arrived. All other staff were great and there was a lovely atmosphere. Very easy to park in the car park and get to the hotel. Cheap parking too!”

“Clean, comfortable, easily accessible hotel with ample parking. The room was a little hot, due to no AC, however a large fan was provided which helped a lot. The restaurant next door has reopened, although I didn't use it on this visit. The stand out point for me, was the staff! We had travelled from Devon, for my partner to have major surgery at Northern General Hospital, and an, otherwise, stressful visit was made bearable by the care & compassion of every member of staff I met; they went above & beyond to check that I had everything I needed and that I was OK & enquired daily about my partner (he's recovering well). I'll be back to stay again when I return to bring him home. THANK YOU!”

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm, festive, and incredibly welcoming. A special shout-out goes to Holly on reception, who was absolutely outstanding. She greeted me with a smile, handled check-in smoothly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my stay. Her friendliness and professionalism truly set the tone for the entire visit. The Christmas party itself was brilliant—great food, lively entertainment, and a lovely festive setup. “Absolutely fantastic service, Louise is a natural with dogs and will tailor to your specific needs. I am always happy to leave my 2 dogs with her and enjoy my holiday. She will send pics and updates throughout. She has occasionally walked them from time to time and they always come back shattered, very reasonable rates as well. Would 100% recommend.”

“We used the kennels for the first time for our three dogs, it’s always hard using new places, the dogs seemed to settle in well. On picking up, it was clear that they have been very well looked after, they were happy, had lovely shiny coats and smelt great, we would definitely use them again. “A very warm welcome a beautiful traditional pub. Very friendly staff. The waitress a breath of fresh air. And the food was traditional good cooked and presented lovely a set menu is available at a very good price. We had soup pates fish, and my husband hasn't stopped talking about his pie, and braising steak and home made desserts apple crumble and steamed puddings, absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended. “We, as nervous first time cat adopters, needed a few days away so asked for recommendations for a good cattery. Top cats was our first choice. Greeted by Jade, we were shown around the facility and all our questions were answered and we felt completely reassured that Willow (our cat) would cope well during her first stay away from us. On our return, found Willow to be perfectly chilled and clearly had become attached to the staff there. So much so, she didnt want to go back in her cat transporter! First class, friendly service and we will have no hesitation in using Top Cats in the future. Thank you for looking after Willow.”

“I took Pasha my Pomeranian to Doggy Day Care slightly worried about Covid but I needn’t have as Nathalie & Neil we’re professional and prepared for his arrival with regards to social distancing to wiping Pasha down with antibacterial wipes even his collar. Then again before he left them to go home.They are so loving towards the doggies in there care and made me feel completely relaxed knowing Pasha was safe in there hands I wouldn’t take him anywhere else but Paws for thought.
