“We are are regular customers at the Dewsbury branch, but when our dog became ill overnight we took her down to the 24hr hospital at Barnsley at 2.00am on a Sunday morning. From the first phone call when we were given a prompt appointment, to discharge a couple of days later, all the staff were wonderful. As Poppy had been admitted due to the severity of her condition, we were kept regularly updated at every stage of her treatment, and we're advised to call at anytime should we feel the need to.( Which we did on a couple of occasions) The staff were lovely and kind and as well as bringing Poppy back to health, they were also so reassuring with us too as it is very worrying and stressful when your pet is unwell. When these things happen, although it's never a factor as most people will do anything for their pet, Money is always at the very back of your mind. This is where Animal Trust Vets score another 5 stars!!! Their out of hours consultation fee is less than one third of our closest vets practice, and overall charges are similarity reasonable. Poppy is getting back to her old self, and we are overwhelmingly appreciative of all the Barnsley staff for their help,care and understanding.”

“I have been going to Churchfield Vets for nearly 16 years. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They listen to what you have to say and make the animals visit has comfortable as possible as well has the owner. The surgery is very clean and welcoming. “I can't thank Churchfield Vets for the care they have provided,over the last 23 years, for my mare Rosie. Yesterday was her very last day and the vet and the nurse came and showed such compassion as they helped me say goodbye to her for the last time. She was 30 years old. “Been with this vets on and off for several years now and all of the vets and nurses I've seen here are very kind, caring and professional. The receptionists are very good and will go out of their way to help with appointments and queries. The Practice Manager is very pro-active and can often be seen in the background supporting staff members in what can only be described as very busy and at times possibly stressfull enviroment for staff members. She is very passionate and caring and a strong manager. They are open 24/7 and their prices are very reasonable in comparison to other vets, although administration fees for dispensing medications can be around £16 per item, (bearing in mind that almost all vets charge this not just Barnsley Vets for pets) plus the cost of the medications, some of which can be bought online with a prescription for much less, there is a charge for prescriptions but they are very reasonable! So it's probably worth getting a prescription which is active for 6 months once prescribed, for things like worming and flea products or long-term medications. All in all this vets offers up-to-date treatments and are very caring and knowledgeble.”

“My cat was taken as an emergency the vet was waiting for her when she arrived the vet attended to her straight away and we ended up taking her to the main surgery on huddersfield road . They were waiting for her and attended to her straight away . They did everything they could to save her but sadly we lost her . I cannot thank them enough for trying to save her the cost of the care was worth it to try and save her . RIP Missey you were a much loved and now missed family member .”

“Absolutely fantastic service, Louise is a natural with dogs and will tailor to your specific needs. I am always happy to leave my 2 dogs with her and enjoy my holiday. She will send pics and updates throughout. She has occasionally walked them from time to time and they always come back shattered, very reasonable rates as well. Would 100% recommend.”

“My cats have had the most amazing 9 night stay at Cawthorne cat hotel! My two cats are both house cats so I was understandably nervous about leaving them for that long when they are used to being with us every night. Jennifer kept in contact with us via whatsapp every single day providing us with regular updates about their stay and progress which really put me at ease. The cat rooms are just adorable, they're immaculate filled with everything a cat dreams of! As soon as we arrived to drop them off I knew I had no concerns about leaving them, Jennifer was so welcoming, friendly and very knowledgable about everything cat related. You can tell Jennifer loves her job and is so passionate to provide the best service and care to her guests like they are all her own cats. An extra special thank you to Christina also for providing the best entertainment and cuddles for Willow & Peaches! We will never take them anywhere else now when we go away. “They understand and sympathise with everyone's different needs. I have severe mobility issues which means I cannot control my pooch as well as walk with a rollator frame, so due to this the vet comes to me in the car park to my car, which is more comfortable and less stressful for my dog as well so thankyou very much for understanding. “My not so little dog Daisy had ripped her nail and it was hanging off Barnsley branch got her in straight away started treatment within 20mins The very next day Daisy was having surgery to sort the mess out, They kept in contact with me throughout let me know when she went to surgery rang me after to let me know she’s was absolutely fine. Went to pick Daisy wouldn’t believe she just had surgery tail waggling her tail back to good health walking perfectly fine. 3 days after went for check up.
