Been with this vets on and off for several years now and all of the vets and nurses I've seen here are very kind, caring and professional. The receptionists are very good and will go out of their way to help with appointments and queries. The Practice Manager is very pro-active and can often be seen in the background supporting staff members in what can only be described as very busy and at times possibly stressfull enviroment for staff members. She is very passionate and caring and a strong manager. They are open 24/7 and their prices are very reasonable in comparison to other vets, although administration fees for dispensing medications can be around £16 per item, (bearing in mind that almost all vets charge this not just Barnsley Vets for pets) plus the cost of the medications, some of which can be bought online with a prescription for much less, there is a charge for prescriptions but they are very reasonable! So it's probably worth getting a prescription which is active for 6 months once prescribed, for things like worming and flea products or long-term medications. All in all this vets offers up-to-date treatments and are very caring and knowledgeble.

I use the Barnsley Vets4Pets practice quite often & find the nurses & reception staff caring & helpful. In particular, I also find veterinarian, Dr. Will Lawson to be the best vet I have ever had (& I've been to a lot of vets). His compassion & genuine care for his patients & their owners is exceptional. I recently had to say goodbye to my cat & Will's support at the end of her life was helpful beyond words. It is such a challenging time, but such a compassionate approach makes a world of difference. All the reception staff were kind & supportive too. Thank you Vets4Pets Barnsley for everything you did for Maisey & for me.

This is a hard review for me but I want to thank some of the best people I've ever met. Thank you Will for being there for our baby girl from the beginning to the end and thank you to everyone for always being kind and caring not just to our Nala but to us too. Even though our Nala isn't with us anymore we will never forget everything you did for her. She loved you and we appreciate and love you for what you did for her. Thank you x

Been coming ever since we got Bella as a puppy, the staff have always been lovely and understanding. We recently had to have Bella put to sleep. I can’t thank the staff enough for looking after Bella and for giving us one more day at the beach with her. Forever grateful. We also received a lovely hand written card from the team.

We took our puppy, Lucy to these vets and they were amazing. The staff are so friendly. The receptionists were helpful and knowledgeable and the care they gave my puppy was incredible. After Lucy's keyhole surgery for neutering she recovered within hours of having this procedure. I highly recommend this practice. Thank you so much for looking after our girl so well x

Fantastic vets! I recently took my cat in for routine surgery and was very happy with the excellent care he received. The nurses knew I was nervous about taking him but reassured me throughout. The vet explained everything she did and I even had a phone call the next day to check how my cat was doing! I'm very grateful for all the amazing care they provided.

Very shady tactics - booked my pooch in for a simple booster jab - "vet" decided to carry out a procedure that we never discussed - nor do I know why he did it - then doubled the bill ? Won't be going again Following their reply - I advised my pet had a small amount of fur missing on his back - the vet proceeded to probe my pets backside - not sure how this would do anything - in fact it didn’t do anything - this was just a way of doubling the bill - never even gave me an option or opinion - as I'm not bilingual I couldn't understand a word the "vet" said but I'm sure he didn't say I need to fiddle with his bum ? At one point he was going to treat him for kennel cough ??? Now suggesting I don’t care about my pets welfare - I only use pets4vets once a year for his vaccination as they are cheaper - I use a better known more capable surgery for my everything else - that’s how I knew he didn’t need his bum fiddling with - shocking !!!!! If I had been advised that my pet had anything wrong with his health then of course I would have wanted treatment but not here - expressed my concerns to my regular vet who advises he doesn't know why he would carry out such a procedure Beware !!! Oh and there was no "health exam" unless this was carried out when I blinked !!!!!!!!!!!

This place has to be the best. We’ve used Vets4Pets for a long time now and I couldn’t imagine using a different vet. Everyone is very helpful and caring. The practice managers are always there if needed and are very down to earth and easy to talk to. I know when my dogs are there they are getting the very best care. A picture of Alfred just because he was born at Vets4Pets has separation anxiety is now 15yo & of course is my baby who is looked after second to none at this practice
