“Fantastic team. We have a Romanian rescue and he wouldn’t be the dog he is today without the amazing staff at Rose Cottage. And when I thought they couldn’t get any better, I arrived one day with the dog having vomitted on the way to day care - they took his blanket, washed and dried it and returned it to me on collection. 5 stars is not enough. They just go above and beyond.”

“My partner and I have just had our wedding ceremony and party at the Bateman's mill, I must say, everything set up absolutely perfectly, we even had a huge hog roast on the spit, the function room set up was planned perfectly with space for the singers and room to shake the tail feather. Great choice of drinks to suit everyone my person favourite being the Boston American gentleman and a good choice of spirits and soft drinks . “Well worth a visit, rooms are well appointed and the pub is welcoming. Good location in the town but they do have limited parking spaces. No big deal as there are loads of car parks in Chesterfield.”

“We loved our stay here! The lady Laura was fantastic as we arrived slightly late as the walk we were on took longer than anticipated, when we rang she told us not to panic and she'd let us in still, and to travel safely which was lovely. The pod was very clean and tidy on arrival, mugs and hot drinks on a little table. The bed was very comfy and there was heating in the pod which made it warm and cosy. I just wished we could have stayed longer here! We will be back!!!”

“We have just returned home from a lovely 2 night stay at Slate House Farm. We loved it. It’s well situated with plenty of pubs and restaurants locally. The pods are clean and have everything you need. A nice touch was the addition of marshmallows so we could toast them in the fire pit. The views are amazing and the owners couldn’t do enough whilst still not being intrusive. We will definitely be coming back”

“Highly recommended! We have used Almora several times to board our cats, and it was clear to see that Rocket & Scampy had enjoyed their stay this year. The owners are passionate about caring for their guests, the pens are spacious and clean and the grounds are well maintained, we even received an update with photos on the second day which was a really nice touch and put our minds at ease. I wouldn't dream about taking them anywhere else!”

“We had a fabulous overnight stay at the Pebley Inn. It has a lovely deck outside overlooking the countryside, luckily we had a lovely autumn night to make the most of it. We were greeted at check in by the lovely Olivia, it was such a warm friendly welcome and she continued to look after us all night. We stay in a lot of pubs on our travels and don't normally get such amazing service. Food delicious. Beers kept well. Warm atmosphere in the pub. Room well equipped. The whole night was excellent.”

“We stayed for two nights mid April. The room (Chatsworth room) was lovely, a large room with everything you needed. Bed very comfortable , very clean. The bathroom was excellent, a large shower unit. With a continental breakfast available in the price, and tea ,coffee facilities available 2hrs a day. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk to the town centre, only 2 minutes away. On site parking is a bonus. The restaurant is lovely with fantastic food. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend a stay to anyone.”

“Lynne and the team provide an excellent service, the dogs clearly enjoy the experience as seen in the pupdates which are sent on request (being sensible of course with the times of requests). They are dog owners and are very responsible. Only issue is very popular and you need to get you booking in early. Strongly recommend.”
