Fabulous venue. Great room, and super friendly staff. Also good to mention....during a Disco, and private party ( Very Loud ) we heard nothing from our room, and we're easily able to have a good night's sleep. Well done Olde House
Superb. Rooms are spacious, spotless, lovely wool carpet, massive super comfy beds, fantastic shoer and a lovely long bath, Faultless. Staff brilliant, friendly, attentive, professional, they exuded cinfidence and competence. Clearly love their jobs and work great as a team. Foods very good and reasonabvly prices, individually cooked and sewrved breakfasts were super. Good choice.
We arrived mid afternoon on a drizzly day and looked forward to taking time out. Check in was Friendly, quick and efficient. There was a nice warm log stove in the main area, the bar area was inviting and clean. We had a couple of drinks while looking at the miserable weather outside. It was a lovely afternoon break, and we then ended up staying and ordering an evening meal. Ordering via the app along with a discount code was quick and easy, and within fifteen minutes our meals arrived with a smile, the meals were well presented, and very tasty. The breakfast next morning before checking out, was also very tasty with a smile again, and choice of toast types and tea/coffee whichever we wanted. Check out was just as quick and easy, we shall be staying again as it was a most enjoyable one night stop, with easy access to tourist attractions in the area. The room was comfortable, and spacious. The staff were all helpful, cheerful and efficient.
Exceeded my expectations. Good food, easy to order from your table. Good selection of drinks. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean and homely. Relaxed atmosphere. More spacious on the inside than the exterior suggests. Loads of free parking. Room and beds were comfortable. Feels like a 2-part experience, as although the The rooms being accessible via the pub section, it felt like going to a nice seperate regular Hotel. Quiet and well-furnished. Lunch and Breakfast were really nice.
We had a really wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Comfortable bed,clean spacious room, friendly staff Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only minor issue was lack of continental breakfast range( no pastries, yoghurt etc) however the cooked options were well presented & cooked to perfection & hot. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay so lovely.
We where greeted by a lovely woman Julie. Recieved our keys. The 1st impression was an old lift with a couple of old stickers marks. However the hallway is clean. The room itself is as nice as a premium inn but bigger. The bathroom is very clean and unlike a premium inn it has a 2 pin shaver plug. The room is heated by a big radiator and is also very clean. My wife like the bed but I thought it was a little soft. Also it was a quiet room. We had an evening meal but it was disappointing, it was like a fast food menu. Therefore we were delighted to have a freshly cooked full English breakfast. The lady server I believe her name was Kaye really looked after us. It made a really nice change to a self serve breakfast we generally get at a premium inn. Personally I am now going to look to try more hotels/inn from the Marston chain. Well done.
The staff were great, the room was warm, clean and aired. The meal in the evening was as good as I would expect. And, which unfortunately is not always the case when I stay in a Marston's Inn, the beers were great and kept in really good condition. I have already booked my next stay with you. Thank you
We will return . A lovely friendly place to stay. Lovely meals and friendly booking in , as well as bar staff. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Hallway and some places could be said to be a little tired , but made up for by the friendly welcome , good food , real ale and cleanliness.
A lovely warm welcome by the staff. Nothing too much trouble the food is very good. The room are everything you need and spotlessly clean inside and out. It is credit to the staff how work there.
