   First time in a weatherspoon. All the staff were very helpful. The room was modern and clean. Credit to the housekeeping team. We literally had just one problem. That was the coffee machine wasn't working properly. I mentioned it in passing when our breakfast was brought to us. The person immediately sorted the machine and brought me a new coffee. I didn't expect her to do that, or bring me a new coffee. I can honestly say the team working there are a team that just gell together. I couldn't find a fault with any of them. We both thank you all.

   I’ve stayed in quite a few Wetherspoon hotels now , the room was good as usual , plenty of space, bath shower toilet . Temperature was good. Only sticking point we had was the parking isn’t checked , we paid for parking along with a few others , it’s limited parking of 7 spaces but there was cars and vans parked in spaces without the parking notice we were given to park , this needs to be policed better, maybe a barrier for hotel guests only ? Also on Saturday there was no hot water , called a couple of times and was told on engineer was coming , then got told by reception to speak to the bar manager as he had been there early and might know a time of when it will be fixed as they don’t open till 9am on reception!? A very busy bar , Halloween was packed .

   Well worth a visit, rooms are well appointed and the pub is welcoming. Good location in the town but they do have limited parking spaces. No big deal as there are loads of car parks in Chesterfield.

   We stayed here last night and have to say from the moment we arrived we had an amazing experience. On arrival the guy who booked us in (and I am annoyed I didnt get his name but he was a Team Leader) was so efficient. Very professional giving us all the details in a concise and professional manner. The room was amazing. Smart modern spotless and comfy. We was directly above the main pub door but didn't hear a thing unless we opened the window. Breakfast was great too. Free hot drinks as we was staying at the hotel so an even cheaper breakfast. The man who served me as we also bought some gift vouchers for presents was pleasant and I expressed how delighted we was with the overall service. He was so professional interested and chatty. We loved it all and will be back. We was at a show at the winding wheel as this was a perfect location to stay.

   I can't make a comment about the room and room service but have noted that there are cheaper places. There has been mention of a rude manager and I've experienced this person. In my opinion, they are not at all suited to the hospitality sector.

   Nice place. Room had a lovely lay out. But very cold in the room. Radiator where only hot and bottom half of rad and stone cold at top. But a polite place.

   Great hotel, £10.00 extra for parking when paying £70 for the room I found a bit expensive. Very small carpark for the size of hotel. Food was nice and beer was decent price &, a nice pint.

   Ideal for an overnight stay where you're just sleeping in the room (as the view was another building). Which was exactly what we did. Room was cosy and well equipped. Some finer details needed as found dirty marks and strains of hair in the bathroom that weren't ours!! Hotel did email details about parking in advance as there is no parking on site. But on the whole OK.
