Pub in Chesterfield

“First time ever tried over weekend,had lunch with friends.What a beautiful place,well impressed on arrival with the lovely decor and greeting from staff. All the food and drinks ordered were fantastic, generous portions and red hot. It got busier as we were there and some people couldn't be accommodated due to being so busy. Didn't have desserts but they looked very tempting. Lovely outdoor area but the heavens had opened, however must ve very busy in summer. Really lovely venue,would not hesitate to return and recommend.”

“Called in a Friday afternoon, place was very busy, staff very friendly and dogs allowed. Ordered the sharer Nachos. Had to wait a little while as everything was made to order and lots of pizza was being ordered. Definitely worth the money, vast range of cider, beers and larger. Will be going back”

“Have been told its one of the best pubs in Chesterfield so we decided to give it a try. Well worth the trip. They offer a special lunch menu during the week, either 2 main meals for £23 or Any burger get a second for and additional £4.95. We tried the burgers. From bacon, crispy onion rings , to chorizo, black pudding ,pullled pork and even spar ribs off the bone their selection is amazing. They were cooked to perfection. My stilton cheese burger had 2 patties Char grilled, with stilton cheese premelted dripping down the patties. With onion marmalade and all the trimmings on a brioche bun. Seriously the best burger for miles. The other dishes we saw coming out looked as inviting but for me I ll be back to try some of the other burger crearions. Too good to miss out on.ps. we did go back and had the K pop chicken burger, it was divine! Photo below.”

“Fabulous venue. Great room, and super friendly staff. Also good to mention....during a Disco, and private party ( Very Loud ) we heard nothing from our room, and we're easily able to have a good night's sleep. Well done Olde House”

“Amazing lunch, the food is superb and the service outstanding. We will certainly return, every course of the tasting menu was fantastic. In fact the biggest debate of the day was which course was the best and we certainly couldn’t pick just one. A truly memorable meal.”

“Wandered in here while waiting for a bus. I wasn't sure it was open at first as it was quite gloomy inside however the friendly and cheerful landlord (I think) reassured me it was and beckoned me inside. The apparent "gloominess" was in fact part of the Halloween decorations. Had a pleasant pint of Neck Oil and sat down to enjoy the ambiance and a refreshing classic rock oriented playlist. There's not many pubs you walk in and can hear The Scorpions etc. playing. Would have happily stayed longer had I not had a bus to catch but I'll definitely pop in next time.”

“A lovely little shop. They have three pumps of well kept beer (perhaps some keg too, I didn't notice) all of which are great. Then a good selection of cans and bottles which you can drink in or take away. Very nice strongly recommended.”

“We had a visit to The Boston Arms as we have family in Woodseats. What a brilliant little place! Great beer selection (craft is where it's at!), cosy atmosphere (brilliant for us who are NeuroSpicy) and dog friendly! Absolutely loved it and will be back in again when we can throw the kids at the family for a few hours!”

“Went for Sunday lunch. I've been meaning to try it out and wasn't disappointed. I had the beef cheeks (special of the day) which were melt in the mouth. The portions are very generous with a separate boat of gravy to go with the mushroom and ale sauce it came with. The service was top notch and the beer (Thornbridge Jaipur) was just the right pint to go with the meal. My partner had the turkey roast with a glass of red which she really enjoyed. We will visit again. Can't recommend highly enough. I'd suggest phoning in advance since we had the choice of getting there in 10 or waiting until after 3 to eat.”

“Popped in yesterday for a couple of beers. Can't believe I've not been in before. 5 Cask beers, several keg offerings, pleasant interior and friendly host. What more could you want. Not scored food as not applicable or atmosphere as it was quiet time of day.”
