Amazing Sunday afternoon here enjoyed a beer and a hot roast pork cob. The pork was so delicious, and the roast potatoes on the side were so crispy! The gravy was so flavourful, and the whole thing was exactly what I needed to feel comforted today. Excellent value as well. Thank you chesterfield arms!
One of the best pubs I have ever visited. (1000's over 45 years of drinking) Fantastic rear room and excellent beer garden. The oak paneled front bar is also pretty good. About 12 real ales. Great selection. Chestetfield is a super destination for beer fans and for me this is the jewel in the crown.. we are back in 2023 with Boothroyd and Casta and even better..they now also brew their own beer, The Resting Devil Brewery at the back end of the rear barn room. Had a super Twisted Pale at 4%. Well worth a 15 min walk out of town.
Called in a Friday afternoon, place was very busy, staff very friendly and dogs allowed. Ordered the sharer Nachos. Had to wait a little while as everything was made to order and lots of pizza was being ordered. Definitely worth the money, vast range of cider, beers and larger. Will be going back
As always a fantastic selection of real ales. 12 on today including 5 from the in-house brewery. 5 thirds for £5 is a great deal to try a bit of everything!
Great pub but overrun with dogs eating and licking the seats, sitting on the seats. It's got to be putting off normal customers. Dog friendly is fine but dogs should be on the floor and on the lead. Owners should show more respect for other customers than feeding their dogs on the seats landlord / lady needs to take control.
In my humble opinion, the finest pub in chesterfield. Great beer selection, nice staff, fantastic venue. Food is simple but excellent, such as hot beef cobs with roast potatoes and homemade pizzas. If I could make a request then it would be to expand the whisky selection behind the bar a little further, some decent scotch single malts like Lagavulin 16 & port Charlotte would make this place not just the finest pub in chesterfield, but potentially..... THE WORLD!!!
An amazing pub situated in the suburbs about 10 mins walk to centre of town Market. Still an Everards pub selling Tiger in excellent condition. But the tenant landlord has been allowed to sell what he likes on the other 9 hand pulls! 3 of which feature beers from his own in house brewery which he opened in April. These really are fantastic (CAMRA score 5/5) and £3-30/pint! No food except Thur/Fri/Sat from 4pm when they do big pizzas for £11/12. Brilliant!
