Great little community pub in Scarcliffe village. Good range of well kept ales. No food other than crisps/nuts etc. Cash only.
Lovely little country pub. Cheapish beer doesn't do sit down meals but has plenty of bar snacks.

After a long walk we called in with dogs and were made very welcome in the conservatory.There was only one member of staff serving but she was very efficient so we didn't have to wait long.Would recommend and will definitely go again.

Traditional pub with a great atmosphere. Called after work on a Friday it was busy. They don't serve food as such but they do havewe pork pie with mustard, which we really enjoyed with a pint.
This is a friendly and cosy traditional village pub. During the summer months they host a "classic car" gathering every 1st and 3rd Thursday evening of each month. The only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is that they only accept cash. They do not accept cards. For me the most important thing is that the toilets are always clean.
I'd just arrived in Chesterfield from Australia, and on the very first day I met a great local bloke, Ken. He took me too his three favorite pubs. The Horse and Groom was our first stop. The section we entered was a quaint, cosy little area. A fire place there for the cooler evenings and an excellent choice of beverages. And friendly staff. A lovely place to be in and to enjoy the atmosphere.
