Great room, comfy bed, good shower, fantastic food and lovely owners. Will stay again and definitely get dinner there again. Steaks were terrific

Big thanks to Michelle for her kind help tonight! I hadn’t realized the 9 pm check-in deadline, and with my train only arriving after 10 pm I was really worried. Michelle messaged me around 9 and kindly helped me sort everything out. Thanks to her support, I was able to check in smoothly even though I arrived late, and as a foreign student traveling here, I truly appreciated her patience and understanding. The hotel environment is lovely too—I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep and enjoying Chesterfield tomorrow!
Convenient location, 8 minutes walk from train station, and close to restaurants. The attached Galleon, serves lovely food. Staff very friendly. Rooms comfortable, and given the location near the road, surprisingly quiet when the windows were shut, (but unfortunately hotter). Breakfast outside the rooms was convenient, but sleep quality is very dependant on the thoughtfulness of other guests. Unfortunately on some nights we had poor sleep, with guests using the communal area late at night, early morning, and one night making hot drinks at 2.30am! My advise would be for a policy to be applied, with no usage between 10pm and 8am. If this is done, and works, then my rating would be 5*
We stayed for two nights mid April. The room (Chatsworth room) was lovely, a large room with everything you needed. Bed very comfortable , very clean. The bathroom was excellent, a large shower unit. With a continental breakfast available in the price, and tea ,coffee facilities available 2hrs a day. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk to the town centre, only 2 minutes away. On site parking is a bonus. The restaurant is lovely with fantastic food. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend a stay to anyone.
Booked a room for business trip . Booked direct instead of booking .com . Unfortunately the business meeting was cancelled.We phoned to change the day , but this was not possible. A refund was not possible either. Also not possible to be credited for another date. Moral ..DONT BOOK here. Feel like I've been conned and swindled . And as you can see from the reply from the business, they're pitifully sarcastic and patronising. Great business ethic .
The best Sunday Lunch I've had in a good long time. Staff are very friendly and professional. Great value for money Would highly recommend.
Large comfortable, clean room. Only self service continental breakfasts but good selection. Will definitely use again.
All staff were so incredibly friendly & welcoming. The room was lovely, clean & bed was so spacious & comfy. The bathroom was clean & nicely styled. We also had dinner on site & the staff & food was absolutely lovely. We was there only for the one night we had a funeral to attend the next morning but we couldn’t get any taxis. Matthew the manager went above & beyond to call one of the local companies & managed to get us one which came really quickly & we made it on time for the funeral. We were so incredibly grateful for this. What a fab team. Highly recommend staying with these guys & if we return will definitely come back.
