We were at a wedding a couple of miles down the road so it was convenient, I wasn't impressed for what it cost though. Dated, run-down room (surprisingly comfy bed), quirky communal areas, lovely staff at breakfast but that's all that was lovely about breakfast. I wouldn't stay again.

We found the hotel to be quite dated, and unfortunately our experience was affected by a serious issue with the room we were given. We were placed in a disabled-access room, which had a very heavy sliding bathroom door. Not only did the door refuse to open properly—resulting in me becoming stuck inside the bathroom—but once we finally managed to get it open, it then wouldn’t close again. This meant we had no privacy when using the bathroom. Although we reported the issue and the hotel staff fixed it, the problem reoccurred after the second use. This was especially concerning because, had we actually been disabled guests and become trapped during an emergency such as a fire, we wouldn’t have stood a chance. In addition, the lady with curly hair at reception was not very friendly or welcoming, which didn’t give us the best first impression. On a positive note, the breakfast staff were excellent—very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. They even waited for me on Sunday morning when I was slightly delayed after my bike ride, which I really appreciated. The bar staff were also very friendly and created a pleasant atmosphere in the evenings. Overall, while there were some highlights, the safety issues and lack of welcome at reception left us disappointed.

Recently had a 2 night stay. All the staff and service was exceptional. Our room had an ornate bed and wardrobe, you had to be careful not to crack your head Open on the headboard while watching TV. It's a shame non of the fires were lit in the restaurant and cozy looking bar area which was too cold to sit in ,even the radiator was cold . Rooms a little tiered looking. Outstanding features are the staff.

We recently got married at Santos. The experience from enquiring about weddings to leaving the morning after was everything we could have wished for.. Roma and her team were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Roma guided us through the planning and the day its self with empathy and experience. The whole 24 hours was beautiful. The venue, the food, the rooms, the staff. Our guests were full of praise about every aspect. It was relaxed and ran smoothly. Thank you so much for making our day so special

Went for a meal in the restaurant last night with my wife after visiting earlier in the year on a very impressive bank holiday “pie promo” day. Was really hoping to be blown away by the food as we’d also had personal recommendations & ……….WOW! The food was exceptional. I’m a lifelong pork belly fan & the chefs take on it was exceptional. What a dish! My wife had a trio of Tapas which were also excellent. Deserts were also exceptional. Service was also excellent with special mentions to Richard who totally runs the show with passion & finesse & Drew who was great at the bar. Absolutely loved the vibe, space & experience as a whole & would highly recommend.

Me and my partner went for afternoon tea. It was very nice. Lovely sandwiches, really delicious scones that were still warm and great deserts. Very welcoming and lovely service. I'd definitely recommend it and I'd go back.

Food excellent (seriously). Beautiful view. Rooms very good. Service very good. Not much to do nearby walking. We loved here anyway.

What lovely staff. I had a Tesla charging nightmare and the hotel let me use their charger even though I was not staying there. I then proceeded to forgot my coat/hat which they kindly posted to me home address. Lovely.

Only called in the public bar on Sunday night with some mates. The young man behind the bar was excellent, the only downside it wasn't very warm. Could also do with some beer mats.
