Great value rooms, excellent meal and bar, friendly and efficient staff. Little bit away from amenities, but they have everything you need so location is less of an issue. Would certainly stay there again if in the area.

Lovely member of staff, called Steph, checked us in efficiently and without any delay. She was so friendly and helpful. Gave us lots of information about what to do in an emergency when the pub was closed and no staff were available. She even took an ironing board and iron to my room in the hotel in the building next to the pub, while we had our Dinner The Dinner choice was good and I would describe it as 'Good Pub Food'. Was all freshly cooked and hot when delivered to our table. Breakfast similarly was good. Continental breakfast items were self-serve, but the cooked breakfasts were cooked to order and were hot and tasty The rooms were clean and tidy and the Hypnos beds were extremely comfortable. Hospitality trays for tea and coffee were in all 3 rooms we were using. Liquid soap was provided in the bathroom, beside the bath and another one next to the sink. Very happy to have chosen this place to stay for one night on our way to attend a funeral and the actual cost was very reasonable. Will stay there again if we happen to be in the area

Our room was right next to the main entrance and so whenever a guest came in the door would bang. Plus the room was quite 'spartan'.. it would be ideal for someone working away from home and who didn't spend much time in their room.. we like to spend a bit of time in our room relaxing.. and the one chair was not very comfortable. But overall.. very good value for money. Plus the staff were all very friendly.

The room was basic but extremely tidy and clean. The superstar was the manager who went out of her way to accommodate us. Plus the bed was super comfy, great WiFi and brilliant for access to Slimming World Head Office.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay at the hotel. My room was extremely large for a solo traveller, and as such was slightly cold when I entered the room. However, the radiators worked extremely well and after 10 to 15 minutes of being in the room it warmed up! But the room was simple and basic, it had everything I needed for a nights stay. Only criticism would be that they pay more attention to certain aspects of the cleaning. There was a lot of dust on some of the surfaces and around the edges of the carpet. I had dinner at the adjoining pub, which was nice and the service was extremely quick. It was a comfortable night sleep and I would recommend this if anybody needed a cheap/budget hotel to stay in to break up long journeys.
