I have used Bilton Pet Hotel 5 times and each time it has been a no drama and stress free experience, my dogs enjoy their time in their heated kennel and thoroughly enjoy the daily walks. Would recommend to anyone.

We have just picked up our dog and he has had a wonderful time. He loves to go to the Pet Hotel where the staff are amazing, they love the animals and he comes home happy and relaxed. We have used the Pet Hotel for many years and highly recommend their top quality service where the staff are cheerful knowledgeable with a genuine love for all the dogs in their care.

I have been taking my guinea pigs to the kennels for the past 5 years and have always had a great experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the guineas always come back happy and healthy. I also take our cocker spaniel (and many years with my previous spaniel) for stays and grooming by Imogen. She doesn't look back, is always excited to see everyone and settles in well. Wouldn't use anywhere else.

I’ve brought my rabbit here a few times before and always had a great experience—lovely staff, clean facilities, and spacious cages. Unfortunately, this recent visit was a completely different story, all because I had to deal with the owner directly for the first time. I had arranged to board two vaccinated rabbits for a week. While I hadn’t collected the vaccination certificate for one of them, I phoned ahead to ask if this would be okay, especially since he had stayed before. I was told very clearly, “That’s absolutely fine, he’s been here before, it’s no problem.” When I arrived, the owner (who I’d never met before) greeted me rudely from the start. She snatched one of the rabbits out of my hands, took the other, then came back and abruptly demanded the proof of vaccination. I politely explained what I was told on the phone, and she outright called me a liar—even though she wasn’t on that call and had no idea who I’d spoken to. She then began raising her voice at me, which was incredibly unprofessional considering I remained calm and respectful the entire time. To make things worse, I had brought food and hay for the rabbits—as I always have before—and she just shoved it back at me, saying, “We have our own,” with no courtesy at all. I ended up having to keep one rabbit at home with a pet sitter because she refused to accept him. Later that day, I called asking if they could confirm the vaccination status with the vet. Instead of helping, she became aggressive again, accused me of being rude (I absolutely wasn’t), and demanded I pick up the other rabbit immediately. Then, just minutes later, she called back and suddenly said, “Never mind, we’ll keep him for the week.” It was like she couldn’t make up her mind. Her behaviour was rude, unprofessional, and frankly concerning. She also handled the rabbits roughly, which I found upsetting. Her staff have always been lovely and gentle in the past, but she is not someone I’d trust with my pets again. Wouldn’t return unless the owner no longer worked there.

My Izzy has been going here regularly for day care and she’s always happy and comes away bouncing like she’s been on holiday. Imogen n the staff are lovely and I trust them to look after my precious girl.

3 stars is probably a bit harsh due to the fact I did not get passed reception. I also guess I just caught them on a bad day possibly. I went over from the camp site we were staying on hoping to book my dog in for day boarding as advertised on the website and also I was told by people on the camp site lots of people booked there dogs in for the great Yorkshire Show. I was hoping to book the camp site and one day boarding in 2023. The girl I spoke to looked busy and was a bit brash when walked in to the reception. She asked how she could help and as soon as I said a query I could hear her voice change as if I was preventing her from getting on. I said I wanted to enquire about day boarding. She quickly replied we are full. I said no not for now for next year. She then said yes we are full. Then she said we don’t do day boarding anymore. I then felt a bit frustrated because the web site said they did and so did the camp site. So I said your wed site says you do. She said well that changed week on week. I was going to say but this is for 2023 again but felt I would not get anywhere so gave up. I never even got the chance to say I would walk him first and he would just go to sleep for the rest of the day and wait for me. When I walked back over to the site I was going to book for the 2023 but that had thrown me. I mentioned it in the office and they were confused as they said plenty of people do day boarding. It’s a real shame as having a boarding hotel next to a campsite must be a licence to print money at times. I don’t have a clue what the hotel is like but first impressions were confusing. A quick change to the website would make a huge difference if they have stopped day boarding. Would save anyone there having to stop what they were doing to talk to an unwanted enquiry. Shame.

I called Imogen at Bilton Pet Hotel from overseas in the midst of a very difficult international move. Due to border restrictions and a variety of complications, our senior dog reached our destination almost two months ahead of our arrival! Imogen and her team worked with me to receive Jackson from the airline and they took excellent care of him while he awaited our arrival. Jackson takes multiple prescription medications, and Imogen made sure that he received them all consistently. She even went above and beyond to have him seen by a vet to resupply his prescription medications when he arrived without enough to see him through the duration of his stay. Imogen always responds promptly when I reach out, which made all the difference to set me at ease about the care of our cherished pet in the midst of our crazy move. We are now happily reunited with our dog, and we couldn't be more grateful to Imogen and Bilton Pet Hotel for delivering him back to us safe and sound.
