“Lovely big, clean rooms with an extremely friendly host. Delicious cooked breakfast every morning. The entrance is right for a large car, but doable. The village nearby has several restaurants and pubs for food as well as two small grocery stores for food.”

“Amazing service, we went away for 10 days to Italy and knew our dogs would be looked after perfectly. We were kept updated by Lucy while away with messages/photos of our dogs and they looked like they were having a great time. She took them on daily walks and to dog parks off their own back. When coming home our house was left clean and in order which is great when coming back from a long holiday. Would highly recommend their service and will be using them again for sure.”

“I cannot thank Kings Croft enough for hosting our wedding last weekend. From start to finish, I couldn’t fault them. All staff were attentive and friendly, and were quick to reply to my never ending questions! On the day, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was the best wedding food we’ve ever had! “I stayed here to see family for a few days, first visit what can I say it was lovely, staff were great made me feel welcome breakfast was very tasty and the girls on breaking were great even the evening staff also the housekeeper I met that day was very pleasant, only downside the car park was full of litter shout out to Karen Caitlin Mandy and the lady on the evening shift forgot her name will definitely be back.”

“We've just had our painters meeting AGM today. We all had a meal, and the food was super. Steak and ale pie with chips and peas was excellent. The service was first class, and the staff are wonderful. We go every month. It's a lovely pub.”

“Had a one night stay here last Friday. Room was very comfortable. No air conditioning but there was a pedestal fan in the room which was effective. The shower was amazing. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. All the staff we met (Jane, Sue and Tonia) were really friendly and helpful.”

“Superb, professional staff: my car ran into engine problems, so I parked it on the car park. The reception staff came out to offer assistance and cold drinks on sweltering 30C day. This was heaven sent with the air conditioned reception offering a welcome respite for my wife young daughter, nephew, and mum, while I waited for breakdown assistance. It's refreshingly pleasant to know first rate customer service is still out there. Thank you sincerely from myself and family.”

“Had a lovely 3 night stay here with my daughter. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are genuinely friendly and take time to engage with their guests - we really felt welcomed. The buffet breakfast selection was good and items regularly replenished. The location is very central - it's an easy walk from the station, and public transport is good. Also lots of cafes, bars and eating places nearby. We took local buses to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and to Sandal Castle, and hopped on Wakefield's free bus to get to and from the Hepworth Gallery. Would definitely stay here again.”

All of the food was enjoyable and a special mention to the assistant manager Molly who who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. “We have been today the 8th of May. Absolutely fantastic service from Paul in the spa, we have been before so knew where everything was. Lovely time in the pool and jacuzzi and not overcrowded. We had a afternoon tea booked after and they brought the time forward for us as we requested with no problem at all. We were served promptly by Paul again who asked if we had enjoyed the spa,which we had. Gorgeous food and choice of sandwiches and cakes. Absolutely spot on. Well worth a visit.”

“Used Ardsley Boarding kennels recently for the first time and can't thank them enough! It was Luna's first time in kennels so was a little apprehensive leaving her for 2 weeks, However Ardsley kennels kept me regularly updated on her. She was very happy when I collected her this morning and smelt lovely after having a bath during her stay! Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again!!! Thankyou ☺️”

“Really enjoyed our stay at Heath House, we were made to feel very welcome and so were our 2 dogs. Lovely room, fabulous house and beautiful gardens and area for dogs to run free! Couldn't fault the breakfast or Jo's hospitality. All in all I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast experience to anyone.”
