The food was delicious. Lovely entertainment on Friday evening which created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

Had food in the Kirklands for the first time. Highly recommend the steak and ale pie, triple cooked chips and peas, with onion gravy. (I poured more gravy on after I took the photo). A lovely meal, plenty of meat and no gristle. Nicely presented, good price and good service. Really impressed, so we’ll be trying the Monday steak night next!
We've just had our painters meeting AGM today. We all had a meal, and the food was super. Steak and ale pie with chips and peas was excellent. The service was first class, and the staff are wonderful. We go every month. It's a lovely pub.
Beautiful lovingly home made food. Lovely warm welcome from the new owners. We had burgers with the most delicious triple cooked chips. I honestly can't speak highly enough of the whole meal and service.
Great dog friendly pub! We went to the pub for Sunday lunch, the staff were really welcoming and helpful. Our lunches were amazing, really tasty and reasonable prices. Will definitely go back.
We decided to bob in for some lunch and we wasn't disappointed. The staff are really friendly and it was really busy and a little loud with people watching the football and clearly local residents that play sports in the area but where ate it was in a quiet little library area. The food didn't take to long to come out and the portions were generous and homemade which made all the difference. I ordered the Sunday dinner and a pudding as it was 2 courses for 11.50 and my hubby got a sandwich and mushroom starter. The food was tasty and beautifully cooked and I went for the large size and regretted lol it was a huge portion and I couldn't eat it all and didn't finish all my pudding but the pudding tasted amazing. The drinks weren't too expensive and we had a really good experience overall. Would definitely go back for a meal
Didn't stay but popped in as we drove past and tried the Sunday lunch and what a beautiful dinner , gravy with meat juices and onions , crunchy veg and yorkshire puddings to be proud of not only in texture but taste too. Would highly recommend and will be back to try your other menus and another Sunday lunch
Attended a christening recently and the buffet was very poor for the amount that it cost, I can imagine they made a very good profit judging by the content and quality that was served.
We had Sunday dinner, 2 courses for £11.50. We both started with prawn cocktail then roast beef. My husband went large on main course and struggled to eat it all. All food was home made, quantity and quality were fantastic. I think next time we will just have main course as there was so much. Definitely be back
